Review in Progress...34%: The book isn't going anywhere. Ok, she sees dead people, or people from the past or whatever, and yes, there is a hot guy who is supposed to help her...Can we have less drooling over Michael, and more actual plot, please?" 38% Ok, let me get this straight...Her brother hi...

Holy cow, I loved this book! The heroine was snarky and decisive, and her wonderful voice got me hooked from page one. It blasted 99% of my YA rants sky high. The boyfriend was still a drop dead gorgeous stuffed shirt with a knight-in-shining armor complex, but you can't have everything, lol.

After her parent’s death Emerson’s took a downward spiral. It has been some time now since she came back home, and now that she’s back her brother is once again trying to help her. You see, Emerson has a peculiar ability to see the dead (or so she thinks). This is how she meets the handsome Michael,...

Any novel involving time travel is going to pique my interest. It’s just a given. And a book with a cover like that is going to grab my attention that much quicker.I only thought this novel was about time travel. Okay, it is, for all intents and purposes, but I felt that too much time was spent f...

I'm not sure that I loved it, but I still enjoyed the story.I liked Emerson. I liked that she struggled with...

Also appears on The Screaming Nitpicker. This review is dedicated to my dear friend Cillian, who read Born at Midnight in exchange for me reading Hourglass. Sorry about that, Cillian. You got the worse end of the deal there. This book didn't turn out to be a good fit for me, but I do have some praise ...

I wish I could give half stars, because it's more like a 3.5. I really enjoyed this book. YA romance, time travel, twisty plot that kept me on my toes. Was it great literature? No, but it was fun, a page turner, and I'm a little bummed that I read it now and have to wait probably ages for the next b...

I would have absolutely loved this book when I was 15 years old. It has time travel, superpowers, and a romance, and it's funny! Heck I really should love it now. And really wanted to, but as I was reading it I just couldn't get enthusiastic about it.I liked the backstory and worldbuilding with the ...
