I wanted to like this book; I really, really, really wanted to like this book. But no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get into this book. There is something about Caitlin Moran's writing style that just put me off. I'll probably try to read this another time; now that I have an idea about w...

One of my all time favourite books. I'm totally crushing on Caitlin Moran. She's got the best sense of humour and important things to say: a good combo in my opinion. A definite MUST read!

RAGEY RAGEY EYEBALL STABBY.Moran can go screw herself. And return all those distasteful US dollars to the poor backward American women who bought her self-aggrandizing BS.http://www.mamamia.com.au/social/mia-freedman-interviews-caitlin-moran/ M: How was promoting your book in the US? Did they under...

EDITING TO ADD: If you are here to tell me that Moron was just being "funny" or "ironic" or any other word meant to belittle my take on Moron's interview and thus insinuate that I just don't get it and I am pearl clutching:GET THE FUCK OFF MY GOODREADS REVIEW. I couldn't bring myself to finish this one. I was really excited to read it - I'm a feminist, and almost the same age as Caitlin. I am frustrated by the fact that the college students I teach refuse to identify with feminism, or indeed to admit that sexism exists. But this book... I just couldn't...

It's an interesting read that I nearly missed. The title nearly stopped me reading this. It sounds prescriptive. How Caitlin became a Woman would be possibly better, or a variation thereof. This isn't about being a woman but about Caitlin's philosophy on life, at least some of which I agree with. The...

I'm not going to rate the book; I couldn't finish it. Sadly, Ms. Moran and I just don't share a sense of humor and that makes me all triste because I thought we would. After about the fifth chapter, I kept picturing her in my mind as a hairy little troll, all hunched over and fingering herself while ...

Oh, piss off. This book just makes me truly angry. If that is how you want to be a woman, then by all means, go right ahead. Just please get out of my face. There were moments in this book that were fun, (like maybe two?) but mostly it just felt like misogyny from a woman. Kind of like the ultimate b...

Has an appalling case of unpacked privilege. Dropping "tranny" and "retard" in this book is just the tip of her shitty iceberg.Newsflash: feminism that doesn't advocate for ALL women is no better than patriarchy.

I had written an amazingly long and fabulous review for this but then I pressed the wrong button on my ipod and lost the whole thing. So, you'll have to settle for this ...This is a very interesting, funny book which comes (I think) at a crossroads for feminism. Moran may be saying nothing new but...
