This was one of those lucky "read it because you have heard the title and other people seem to like it and you don't remember anything about it" reads. If I Stay is very much a character-driven story. There is a plot, but it is honestly background for exploration of this family and Mia's relations...

I think I was emotionally stumped in relation to this book. I felt nothing at all. In fact that's a slight lie, the last two or three pages were quite emotional. I think this is something I'd prefer to watch as a film than to read as a book.

It took me days to write this review because I have such mixed feelings about this book. After much deleting and rewriting, I've decided that I did like If I Stay, but it wasn't what I expected.Seventeen-year-old Mia is involved in a car accident that kills her family and leaves her in a coma. While...

http://thefaultinourblogs.blogspot.comAlright I have to admit that I went into this book with an assumption, and was completely off the mark. We saw a clip from the movie adaptation at LeakyCon, and somehow I grabbed the idea that the story was going to revolve around a purgatory-esque place, and ha...

As always, I've waited until the hype of this book (and movie) have died down a little. I personally find it difficult to fully experience a book with everyone else's opinions being thrown at me.I know most people LOVE this book, but I just don't. The story is well written and beautifully sad, the f...

If you haven't read If I Stay yet, you are missing out. Find a copy. Seriously. I'll wait. Mia's story is equal parts heartfelt and heart wrenching. I warn you, pick up a box of tissues before you start reading. This is one that is going to make you cry.For Mia, life is fairly perfect. She's intelli...

To me the book has a softness & subtleness to the subject of death & living that could make some readers either like it or not. I think this has to due a lot with how they preceptive death in their lives. The storyline is well written and has you look at things from Mia's view of things on rather s...

I thought this was a pretty good book. Sometimes the descriptions got a little long, but was worth my time to read on. I even cried in a few spots. The end kind of just dropped off, but there is a second book, just have to find it. Now I need to see the movie.
