Short review: Great, inventive, dystopian fiction with a surprising ending that makes you jittery for the sequel, a tough, edgy, likable heroine, some tragedy, a little romance. The world building met exactly my taste: It was a little like the film "The Isle" and a little like the young adult novel ...
This is yet another of my FAVORITE books. I absolutely love Trella, she is beyond strong. Physically, mentally, and emotionally. And Riley.. ugh oh Riley... I want my own Riley please!!! Hes sexy and sweet, and perfecct. Can't wait for Outside In.
Inside Out was such a fun read. I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook. Maria Snyder's writing allowed me to fully picture Trella's world.Trella is a scrub, "Queen of the Pipes" as the others call her, who prefers to spend her time in the pipes. The scrubs are responsible for cleaning the "I...
I feel stupid for not having figured a few things out earlier on. My imagination ran away with my ability to rationalize. I really enjoyed this story. Normally, it's nothing that would have interested me, but it drew me in.
I was actually more familiar with her adult novels when I interviewed her for my website. Afterwards, she sent me inside out and I really liked it. It's an easy read with fun, interesting twists. The author’s debut novel, Poison Study, is one of my all-time favorites, so I was really excited to read this book, her YA and sci-fi debut (though the Study series has been repackaged as YA, weirdly, to my way of thinking). The science fiction world she’s created is interesting, but the writing was...
I'm having a love affair with Maria V. Snyder! Everything she writes, I love. Nevertheless, I'm such a big fan, I'm almost anticipating major disappointment. Thankfully, that disappointment never came!Inside Out was so good, I could not stop reading it. Ms. Snyder simply picks up the reader and drop...
I enjoyed this book very very much. At first I didn't really like it, but there was a point in the middle where I just couldn't stop reading, and whenever I stopped reading I was wondering what was going to happen in it. The only thing that occasionally ticked me off was all the fragments, and somet...
2.5 This is close to being my favorite Snyder book and I am very much looking forward to the next book,Outside In, coming January 2011.Trella is just another scrub, one of the members of a futuristic society that is over-crowded and separated into two distinct classes. The uppers, who have their own...
I really liked Inside Out. I kind of figured some things out about Gateway before they were revealed, but I still stayed interested in the story. My only complaint is that the end felt very rushed. I feel like there was some key information that we never learned. I will definitely keep my eyes o...
