I love most of Shinn's stuff, especially her angel work, but this...this convinced me not only that I didn't like Jane Austen-inspired work, but Jane Austen herself (though this was quite a few years ago, so I should probably give Austen at least a try before saying that.)
I love Jane Eyre and this adaptation of it just made me love it even more. As a matter of fact I think I love this version better! I think I may have to go back and re-read it soon. It helped me through it stressful time in my life, it was very much a balm to my soul.
