It’s a fine enough memoir. It covers the important parts of the year Julie Powell spent cooking from [b:Mastering the Art of French Cooking Vol. 1|129650|Mastering the Art of French Cooking (Vol. 1)|Julia Child|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1333577773s/129650.jpg|2897158], and it delves deep into int...

Fun, enjoyable fluff. Only thing that grossed me out were the continuous references to her dirty kitchen.

A fun book, but not one for the tender stomached. Julie Powell is a writer who likes to shove disgusting things at the reader, like a toddler with a keyboard. And I don't mean preparing lobsters.

One of my favorite books. Based on true story book portrays not only cooking but also relationships. Touching, moving and inspirational - in the cookery sense ;) I was always hungry while reading it! Yummy!

I bought this book because of the movie. Nora Ephron is a magician because turning this book into a wonderful screenplay seems almost impossible but by miracle. Truly disappointing indeed.

Should be subtitled, Eat, Pray, Have Deviant Sex. Not exactly what I expected after having seen Julie & Julia. I suspect all the dirty parts were edited out to make it safe viewing for all. I still find myself angry at the author for the way it ended. But good overall. Especially suited to thos...

This book had so much potential. Julie Powell’s first memoir, Julie and Julia, was a book that I absolutely adored. The movie version was even fairly well done. When I heard that she’d written a second book, I was thrilled! When I saw the fairly epic subtitle (A story of marriage, meat, and obsessio...

Although I liked Julie and Julia, I just disliked this book from the beginning and cut my losses early and returned it to the library without getting far.
