While Matched lacks the political commentary evident in The Hunger Games trilogy and the grittiness of Divergent, it was a good, well written story, very reminiscent of The Giver. I liked this better than I thought I would. Some of the characters thoughts are just beautifully expressed. Very nice use of language. Love that poetry plays a part in the story.

Why is it that I feel guilty for really enjoying YA reads, especially ones that seem to be targeted at the female YA demographic?
