Whatever happens to Cassia and Ky doesn't bother me. I can't make myself care about their story, their world and their conflicts. It doesn't grab my imagination.I'm not giving up on this, but right now I have several books that seem to be more interesting.
I read it on a recommendation from a friend, and she was right - it's great! I found Cassia's transformation throughout the book well-paced and convincing, and she's so honest... Her world, however, is realistic enough to be a little terrifying. I look forward to the next in the series!
This review was originally posted on http://threecatsandabook.blogspot.com/As soon as I read the blurb on the cover of Matched, I knew I had to read it.“On her seventeenth birthday, Cassia meets her match. Society dictates he is her perfect partner for life. Except he’s not.”Except he is.Cassia live...
I'm going to be blunt - I didn't have high expectations going into Matched. It's a book that I've had half an eye on since it's publication in 2010, but as it obviously contained a love-triangle I was pretty wary. I think that wariness actually helped me to enjoy it far more than I would have if I h...
First off I want to clarify something that has been bothering me, this should not be classified as a dystopian novel. Dystopian novels are a genre defined by extreme poverty, oppressive governments, and just general ruin and depression for everyone in society. That is not the case with Matched. Y...
I am on a task to read all of these YA dystopia books and this is my 4th one....I have to say so far it is my second favorite next to Hunger Games. The world is pretty well realized...though there were a few questions about about how it the society in the book became the way it was, but I assume thi...
I liked this. Probably more than I thought I would. I've hesitated for quite a while now to read this and I'm glad I finally got around to it. There are some issues I have with it, as I do most YA novels, but for what it is, it's good. I think what wins me over the most is Ky's character. He's more ...
I don't have to review this, just one word will summarize everything. BOOOOOOOOOORING One of the most boring books I've ever read. Most of it was copied from The Giver and well, all of it was utterly boring .
At first, I gave this book 5 stars. But thinking back and skimming through some other reviews, I realized that this book wasn't as good as I thought it was. Looking back, I couldn't stand Cassia and the love triangle. I think it was just a little too forced and unnatural. And I'm kinda sad that the ...
