A young ATF agent (Gary Whitehall) is investigating a biker president who cooks methamphetamine for a living. Following his surveillances most days he eats at a local restaurant, where he falls for a waitress, Liz Harlan. Turns out the waitress is the girlfriend of the man under investigation. The agent learns that the waitress wants out of the methamphetamine subculture as much as he himself wants out of ATF. The two decide to run away, leaving the San Joaquin Valley for the high desert and an abandoned cabin, where they learn that escaping their previous lives isn’t as easy or safe as they had hoped.
