So happy I finally read this book. In this episode, Clarice’s best friend is off with her parents and Clarice is forced to work on a school project with the worst boy in the class. Lame script from the TV show. Not the best. Not especially funny, and rather heavy-handed. The Offspring find it hard to imagine that there are people who don't know about recycling.
Charlie and Lola are family tv favorites. I was nervous that the sweetness and whimsy would not carry over to the book. Worried over nothing -- this book is beautifully done. The story is well crafted. The layout makes it a fun read.
Clarice is immersed in her favorite book series about a young super hero who leads a fantastic life. Read this one over my daughter's shoulder during bedtime reading. I'm sensing a bit of Judy Moody. Love the expressive typeface.
