So happy I finally read this book. In this episode, Clarice’s best friend is off with her parents and Clarice is forced to work on a school project with the worst boy in the class. A mystery occurs and Clarice must use the detective skills she has learned from her favorite book to solve the mystery.

Here's the big question - is it sweet or creepy? I say it's a little bit of both which is why it worked for me and the kid. It's not quite in the realm of The Lonely Doll, but comparisons are inevitable and should tell the potential reader a lot. Some readers will absolutely love the styling of t...

A really nice re-telling of the familiar story (very fun to read aloud!) with quirky, inventive illustrations. The style of both illustrations and narrative may not appeal to everyone, but if it does definitely try [b:Goldilocks and the Three Bears|6588701|Goldilocks and the Three Bears|Lauren Chil...

Lame script from the TV show. Not the best. Not especially funny, and rather heavy-handed. The Offspring find it hard to imagine that there are people who don't know about recycling.

Funny but utterly repetetive. I probably would have liked it as a kid though.

The Possum enjoys Clarice Bean, as do I. They're goofy, and the pictures are great. You could call this one Clarice Bean Goes Sleuthing.

Clarice Bean is a hoot and I particularly enjoy her affection for the stories of Ruby Redfort.

Charlie and Lola are family tv favorites. I was nervous that the sweetness and whimsy would not carry over to the book. Worried over nothing -- this book is beautifully done. The story is well crafted. The layout makes it a fun read.

All the wimsy and silliness you might expect from Lola. Charlie is consistently patient and sweet. Fun bedtime read.

Clarice is immersed in her favorite book series about a young super hero who leads a fantastic life. Read this one over my daughter's shoulder during bedtime reading. I'm sensing a bit of Judy Moody. Love the expressive typeface.
