Another excellent read in this series. Arkady has his old job back as an investigator in Moscow but the city is going through some major changes along with the rest of the country. A great look at the Soviet Union during the early nineties.
I really like the main character of Arkady but this one didn't entirely work for me. There are too many people strolling around in this book who are of such minor importance that they really don't have to be there in the first place. This just muddles the plot. Then you know the pace has slowed down...

Was really looking forward to this book as loved Child 44 and thought that Gorky Park would be a great read. I was very disappointed with this novel I felt the plot and the characters were very flat and story just seems to plod along.

Arkady Renko turns up in Cuba this time, and in the sweltering heat of Havana has to figure out why a Russian agent turned up dead. Lots of suspense, surprises, and a truly unique setting made this one a page turner for me. A definite keeper for me. For a more complete review, please go here:http://...
