As a child growing up, many have been told that milk is good for the health because it helps build strong bones. You heard this all the time if you were a child that was growing up around and after 1995, which was when the Milk Mustache Campaign was launched. Perhaps, you may remember the “Got Milk?” posters and television ads. It was a large part of the Milk Mustache Campaign from America’s Dairy Farmers and Milk Processors. Majority of the world’s adults cannot digest cow’s milk, and from them there isn’t anything degenerating happening to their bones. There has been evidence that has shown that milk may not really even be healthy. Also, the dairy industry has been falsely advertising by these ads and paying the government to put milk on the food guide pyramid, as being essential to good health. This would be one of the explanations of why the “Got Milk?” ads are quite advertised frequently; it may be so that no one would oppose the idea of the health that milk brings to the body.
