I enjoyed this one better than Rivers of London, the first in the series. It was funnier, faster-paced and generally more interesting. Glad I stuck with the series after the first one.

Very good, a delicious, satisfying read. It moved fast, but not so much that the pace was unsustainable or unlikely. I felt like Peter was exceptionally naive in dealing with Simone; shouldn't he wonder why he had this intense lust/fascination? Shouldn't he be more bothered that her last lover died...
Sequel to Rivers of London and just as good as the first book! I liked the developments with Peter's family. And the characters of Leslie and Nightingale look to be interesting in future books.
