My Rating: 4.5 I've heard a lot of things about Poison Study, but mostly, I've heard nothing but good praises for it. Going into the book, I was very nervous. Will it live up to my expectations and to people's praises? Will I eventually end up regretting my choice to read it? Or will I be with the ...
A Book and A Review #2

I have decided that I think I read too much because this book had a "been there, done that" feeling to it. The storyline was very familiar to the better chunk of dystopian/fantasy novels. I felt it had much more of a YA/New Adult feeling to it versus adult reading. Although I am not disappointed I re...

**3.5**I should preface this review with saying that fantasy is not usually a genre that I am drawn to - besides the big series like Harry Potter and Twilight - I've only read a few other fantasy books. So I think it says a lot if a fantasy based book can successfully pull me in. And this one did. S...

This book had an almost Hunger Games feel to it. I found myself cheering for Yelena the whole way. Can't wait to see what is in store for her next.

Poison Study! Such an awesome read!! Oh my G. I really liked this book. I have read The Throne of Glass before this, but please forgive me if I say that Poison Study is better. More beautiful even. First, the female protagonist, Yelena IS or WAS a criminal, but her crime was an act of self-...

I liked it, I really did. I just think my expectations were too high.My biggest issue with this book was the romance. I'm glad it wasn't insta-love, but once the romance was started there was a lot of eye-rolling for me. And Valek's "skin-tight", full-bodied leotards weren't doing it for me.

I really must thank all of you bloggers who've read and reviewed this book. This was yet another one that I probably never would have come across had I not decided to become a book-blogger. But I am so glad I did--in short, it was amazing!Snyder's writing style is fluid and at times almost lyrical--...

This was fantastic! I loved learning about the poisons. Yelena is a strong-willed yet vulnerable heroine who I greatly admire. Valek is awesome. Supporting characters (especially Janco and Ari) were very well drawn as well. I can't wait to continue this series!
