So I want to start by saying this book starts off pretty slow, you have to really get through a sea of explanations, and background information. But believe me the last 40% of the this book make up of the bore of the beginning. know that usually in a series, the first book will be a lot more charac...
The reason I read this was a desire for a sweet fantasy romance and fun poison hijinks. I suppose those expectations were met, but they were only met, never exceeded. Nothing about Poison Study surprised me or enchanted me. It was entirely standard in every way.Based on most of the goodreads reviews...
It was okay, I really liked the mystery and the build up but in the end it was a lot of build up for a just okay resolution in my opinion. Same for the UST, a bit disappointing. I also just liked the characters, didn't love them. I'm not sure about reading the next one.

To start off with, I love love LOVE the characters. Yelena was someone hard to relate to but cool enough t...
For some reason I really liked this book, the feel of the story and the characters. I would agree with those that say it reads kind of like YA (don't know if it's intentional?), but I don't mind.*SPOILER*The only thing I can think of that I found negative was the sudden confession of love, and smoot...
