Usually books like this are right up my alley. I love military sci-fi so was looking forward to a different take with a military paranormal. I couldn't connect with Oscar and while I didn't actively dislike him I was kind of ambivalent about him. It all went downhill from there.

A really great read with nice character development and pacing. It wasn't a bad book, just not my cup of tea. All of the military jargon and acronyms outweighed any interest I had in the meat of the story.
