The #1 New York Times bestseller with more than 450,000 copies in print offers up a hilarious and "entertaining" [Chicago Sun-Times] collection of razor-sharp observations -- now available in paperback!Spending more than 15 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list in hardcover, George Carlin, the thinking person's comic, has made it very clear how successful he is at the transition from stage to page. In Napalm & Silly Putty, Carlin's characteristically ironic and hilarious take on life shines through. He asks:How can it be a spy satellite if they announce on TV that it's a spy satelliteWhy do they bother saying "raw sewage"Do some people cook that stuffIn the expression "topsy-turvy," what exactly is meant by "turvy"

The perfect way to end a busy week.
There's plenty of food for thought in Carlin's talks. That's why I never thought so much depended on his delivery, until I tried to read instead of watching.I just can't summon up the energy to finish this one.
Read full review at: Review: Napalm & Silly Putty by George Carlin, the comedy legend George Carlin was a legendary comedian. Even before I started getting into stand-up comedy, which was actually pretty recently, I was aware of him. So when I started reading this book I was curious to find out what...
There were quite a few interesting commentaries, but overall, the book wasn't as funny as I had been expecting. Many of the jokes written are better/funnier when told as part of a stand-up.
I listened to the audio of this as well... And even though it rehashed a lot of the same topics as 'When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?', I liked this one better. It was more like a stand-up routine and less like a really bad Mad TV episode. Plus this was actually funny. Good enough for me. :)
