Surprisingly enough I hand't heard very much of the "Honoverse" before diving into ebooks. That what you get for growing up in a backwater nation like Sweden.A really good book. Unfortunately it's got a fair amount of political bullshit and dead stupid asshole high-ranking officers but, at least in ...

My first introduction to Honor Harrington, or the wider 'Honorverse' as it's known. I'd heard a couple of people rave about the series and finding the first two novels available as a free download from the publisher prompted further investigation. Honor Harrington's first book covers her fall and pr...

It has been hard to rate this book, there are elements which are deserving of 3 stars, and then those that are worthy of 4 stars. Either way it remains an interesting and engaging start to a series, introducing slowly, the world which Weber has constructed to the reader. There are some strange decisi...

I haven't seen anything new or interesting about the setting (Napoleonic war in space), plot and characters yet. Honor seems a bit flat and suey.

I ended up really enjoying this although I kept skimming the techie stuff. I'd like to give it 3.5 stars as it's not quite a 4 star (read again) but better than a 3!

I re-read this first Honor Harrington novel (in ebook format) for the Beyond Reality group read of the Honor Harrington Series. My introduction to Honor paints her as almost too perfect. My only emotional connection to her comes towards the very end of the novel, when she becomes emotional about h...

The first Honor Harrington book introduces us to Honor and her treecat Nimitzas she takes command of the Fearless after Horrible Hemphill has gutted her weapons systems for some experimental armament. Honor originally makes it work but, once the element of surprise is lost, the weapons prove to be a...

Been wanting to read this for awhile, found it for two bucks and I like this slightly older cover more than the newer one anyway. I would read it right now, but I promised myself I'd read some ACTUAL Horatio Hornblower first.
