Rose is barely eking out a living working a minimum wage job and trying to keep her two younger brothers fed and clothed. Rose lives on the edge between the broken (the mundane world) and the weird (the magical world). Her parents are dead and because she possesses a coveted magical power she’s in...

Book one in a new series. It's a bit hard to classify - has elements of PNR and UF, but whatever you want to call it, it was a lot of fun to read. Well-drawn characters, great action, and memorable villains.Loved it.

I liked this story, even though at times, it was a little strange and slow moving. Rose Drayton and her brothers are interesting new characters. They live in what's called the Edge. Rose has some serious magical powers that are in demand. She works in the Broken and seems to have little or no money ...

This was slower going that the Magic series, but rather enjoyable and I LOVED the characters. Great plot with interesting and unique world building. Liked it much. 4 and a half stars.

The only thing these two worlds have in common is magic. It is a great story. The world building is fantastic, I also really appreciate the boys pov in the story ver...

really 3.5 starsUsually when i find an author whose work I love, I will read everything of theirs I can get my hands on. And I do love Ilona Andrews' Kate Daniels series. But for some reason I was reluctant to read this one. Maybe it was because I loved Kate Daniels so much, I didn't want this ot...

I really enjoyed this book. The world is very creative and different from most of the other series I'm reading. I guess it could be called "urban fantasy" but it's not really "urban" since it takes place in a fairly rural area between the magical world of the Weird and the non-magical world of the B...
