The Pigman introduced me to Paul Zindel and a different way of writing for teenager.Until I read this I didn't know teenagers were even allowed to read anything so rebellious!And I will never forget the chocolate covered ants.
This book seems unoriginal now but it was a revelation to me as a pre-teen
We performed this my senior year in high school. I played the old woman. I'm sure it was an amazing performance, second only to the role played by Flash the Wonderbunny, and the three human leads.I don't remember much else, but sometimes I'm likely to bust out "I hate the world, Mathilda."
