I've always loved the story of Peter Pan and finally got around to reading the book. I think that it brought out the character of Peter more than I was used to and I really enjoyed that.
I'm just putting in a temporary review until I reread it in the future. All I can note amidst the volumes of those who have read this book is that it has a great opening line: "All children, except one, grow up." Isn't that a great start for a novel? Any who disagree we can meet, talk it over, you ...
1906 - 1911 - I read this a while back and somehow forgot to write anything whatever about it, or mark it as read, or anything. I remember liking it; it was fairly dark, moved fast. Can't remember if I thought there were weird sexual undertones or was surprised to find there weren't.Humph. I hate wh...
Like others on here, I did not care for this. LIke the light heartedness of what I thought Peter Pan was all about, The Disney idea is much better than the inspiration it was drawn from. Think the book skipped around and never answered a lot of the story line.
Celebrating 100 years of Peter Pan, this book is captivating not only through the sublime storytelling, but also with the beautiful illustrations to match it. Disney has nothing on these pages.

Everyone who hasn’t been living under a rock knows the general gist of this story so I’ll spare the plot details. Despite being very familiar with this story I found that reading it in its original form felt completely fresh. And I believe that Peter and Wendy’s first exchange (Chapter 3: Come Away...
