A great book for anyone who loves zombie stories. I was impressed with the scope of the stories, everything from the typical fortified gated school with a few survivors, to an "Our Town" for a zombie world. A man surviving in the archival vault of a library, to a corporation charging to bring back...

I have started this book several times but never managed to finish it. I dislike so many of the characters that I doubt I'll do so.

Two weirdly gripping novellas about a pair of gay chefs in New Orleans, with lots of great work detail (one of my favorite things). In the first, Gary & Rickey are teenagers in love, working the line at various diners. In the second, sixteen years later, they have their own restaurant. I want to say...

It's extremely gruesome and truly morbid, but inexplicably charming. The relationship of the two serial killers is fascinating. Where this felt just a little bit unbelievable was the portrayal of their ultimate victim and how he kinda loved it even while they were stabbing him, but even so I have ...

3.5 stars. Good short story about a band modeled on the Beatles, only the two main singer/songwriters are gay and together.

Getting authors to write outside of their comfort zone can be great: it can also be an interesting exercise with middling...

While it won't win any awards for cover design, most of the stories in this doorstopper are pretty strong, with some inevitable misses. The much anthologized (and classic) "Luella Miller" and "Good Lady Ducayne" are here, and Connie Willis's "Jack" is always a pleasure to read. Tanya Huff, Chelsea Q...

Very good gay fiction about a couple who are line cooks in New Orleans and are approached by a financier interested in helping them open a restaurant. I especially enjoyed reading this while in New Orleans.

This is a horrible book. It chronicles the life and times of four gay men with AIDS and two of them necrophiliacs. The book stars with Andrew Compton - convicted serial killer of young boys - who escapes from jail and travels to New Orleans. Andrew likes to kill these young boys and then f*** thei...
