I liked this one! Definitely good to read aloud with the 9+ crowd, I'm looking forward to reading this one to my daughter. I'm not a big fan of her The Goose Girl series, but this and Book of a Thousand Days are well worth the read!

This was a very cute book. The thing I enjoyed the most was how unpredicatble it was. Most of these types of stories are quite formulatic, but Hale really breaks the mold with this one.Furthermore, Miri is a strong role model for young women. She's a good friend and devoted to learning and making li...

I enjoyed this book. Not the best I’ve ever read, but certainly not mediocre or bad. I enjoyed Miri’s character very much and I also liked her close relationship with her family. Moreover, the ending is not what you might expect while being extremely fulfilling.
