It packed quite a punch. Good writing, depressing story. But also hope and HEA, so it ends on a positive note.
First several paragraphs drew me in like a fly in a spider's web. It took time to find out why the prisoner was incarcerated. Reading through all his pain and fear really got me attached to him. Rating: 4.5 stars.This was a tear-jerker for me with a HEA. It hit on all the right notes: science fiction, prisoner and guard relationship, a plot twist, and EMOTIONS.
