An excellent collection of the most important sources of medieval Robin Hood stories. This is an academic text produced by Western Michigan University and University of Rochester, part of the series known as TEAMS, which make their texts available online without charge. If you're a casual reader of the Robin Hood canon, the Middle English (which is pre-Shakespearean) might be too difficult, and you'd be better served elsewhere. If you a student of Middle English or Robin Hood, this is certainly a vital text. Ohlgreen's & Knight's introductions are very strong, as they are leaders in this area of study.
