Absolutely loved this audio book version of Rosemary and Rue. The narrator had a calm, even voice and it was easy to picture her as October. The world is remarkable - the world of fae set in the city of San Francisco. I'm looking forward to reading more of this series.

This book had a lot of really good, really interesting, really clever details. And it's going to tell you all about them. No, seriously, all about them. It's going to make you sit there and listen while it tells you not just the clever detail, but also the backstory to the clever detail and all t...

An entertaining start to the series, this first book gives us a lot of 'starter' info on October herself and the intricacies of Faerie. Toby fortunately has all the characteristics of the UF heroines I like. Smart, no nonsense, loyal, responsible and self sufficient or at least doing her damndest to...

Okay, better than some. I think I'll try the other series (InCryptid) next from McGuire. Three and a half stars actually.

I love the world building in this book. I think that Seanan McGuire is an incredibly talented writer, and both of her UF series - this one & the InCryptids series - have outstanding world building. That said, I will definitely read more books in this series. But, I hope that her plotting improves and...

Rosemary and Rue was an interesting start to a hopefully entertaining series. The book started off strong with October being turned into a fish (a fish, people!) and staying that way in a koi pond for 14 years. When I read that, needless to say I wanted to read further and find out what the hell wou...
