This re-read is via the BBC dramatisation by Gregory Evans.Three and a half hours of brilliant dramatisation that turned a mediocre story into something well worth while. Radio 4 and BBC7 are wonderful sources:http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/radio/bbc_radio_four
I have read this many times. I feel it is the best book written by King. Compelling tale of a small town in Maine. What happens when your new resident is literally feeding off the populace?
March 10, 2012 Huh, well. Just ran across this old review, which now calls for modification. I stated here that this was my favorite King novel, but that distinction now belongs to 11/22/63. Just keep 'em coming, Stevie.I read this in high school, and re-read it in the '90s. It remains my all-time...
Seeing this book on here I remember being scared. It was my first Stephen King I ever read and it frightened me. What can I say? I was young when I read it and still I remember it.
Gave me nightmares. I loved that the vampire was an intelligent monster. My favorite scene in the book is the letter that the vampire writes to the boy. Just creeps me out, but is humorous in a dark way.
