Solid YA with occasional parts where I felt the author was talking to me instead of me listing to the character. Book design note: whereas the front cover is decent, the whole dustjacket—front and back together—is a great design.

Every discussion of the appalling Bloomsbury cover of LIAR seems to have included a positive mention of this book and the author.***Weird to be reading this on the anniversary of 9/11. Highly recommended

I think it's really easy, especially after 9/11, to lump a person into a group. Because of their race, their clothing, or their accent, we immediately might shove a person into a stereotype.
