In Krishnamurti’s “The Function of Education” he asks a great question right at the beginning “Why go through the struggle to be educated?” (Krishnamurti 22) Thinking more on the subject of why we should be educated a person could see that there is more to education than just being educated to get a job. Krishnamurt also talks about how we are afraid of life, and that education helps us to understand life so that we don’t have to fear it, but appreciate it. One important field of work that I someday will be involved in is the field of technology. Krishnamurti’s vision on education has a correlation to some of the dilemmas that someone may face in technology.
