During the Cold War the Soviet Union and the United States had many tensions and issues with each other. The Soviet Union is the main cause of many of the tensions that rose between the itself and the United States. Starting with the Soviet Union not attending the Bretton Woods conference, then the arms race between the US and the Soviet Union, and finally the Berlin wall going up. Although the US had some equal parts in the tensions, the Soviet Union was the main cause of the tensions and issues.
