I thought this story was good and shows just how fragile society can be. It also shows that one person follows there hearts and ideas could change the world. I think that's an important lesson. Again and again I found myself relating to Tally while she was struggling to bring her true self out of th...
Here we go again with the useless reviews.I'm surprised that Tally finally managed to think for herself. I still don't like Shay. Yes, Tally stole your boyfriend, cry me a river. THERE IS A BLOODY WAR IN THE MAKING. Ugh. Shay is so stupid. Oh, well. And of course Zane had to end up the way he did, s...
Specials was choc full of action and a great read, but (even though it couldn't really be helped), Tally was so frustrating in this book at times! So I had to reduce my rating a tiny bit from the first 2 books. Such a great series though. Highly recommended. I'll read Extras soon, hopefully.
*Spoilers*I once told myself that I wouldn't review a book if I had read it on my attempt to get out of a reading slump because I would most likely find the book...boring. But I'm sure if I was at the prime of my reading, I would still dislike this book. What hurts me the most about this series is ho...
It's been awhile since I read the first two books in Westerfield's Uglies series but I finally got around to reading #3, Specials. This book has some of the same annoyances that I found in Pretties, but I tried to overlook them this time around. One observation I would like to make: this series is b...
I didn’t really get the kind of resolution I wanted from this installment of the Uglies series. Tally is special now and a part of the cutters after months of surgeries and tearing down the guilt she was feeling about the smoke, David and Zane. She is super human and super icy, she also cuts herse...
Last book in the series (I don't see the Extras book as belonging to this series, since it features another character). I must say, I went for liking Tally in the first book, to thinking she was kinda annoying in the second, to what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-you in this book. And the whole here-we-go-a...
My sister read these a few years ago and while she doesn't remember them super well, she remembers thinking that they went down in quality from book to book. My opinion ended up being the opposite. I found myself more enthralled with how complicated Tally became as the books went on, rather than t...
3.5The first two parts were really slow but it picked up the pace in the 3rd part of this book. This is the only book in this series that made me cry... so far.The first book was the best and this book was better than the 2nd.
