Some authors I'd recommend:
Courtney Milan (m/f historical romance) - So far, I've only read her novella Unlocked, but I really liked it. (Unlocked is the only work mentioned in this list that I haven't reviewed.)
Jane Fletcher (f/f SFF romance) - Her Celaeno series has some serious flaws in its world-building, but I love it anyway. Rangers at Roadsend is a good place to start.
Jordan Castillo Price (m/m romance) - I really enjoyed Hemovore (standalone novel set in a world where vampirism is a highly contagious disease) and Among the Living (main character can see ghosts).
Tamara Allen (m/m historical romance) - I enjoyed her book The Only Gold.
Rose Lerner (m/f historical romance) - I enjoyed her book A Lily Among Thorns.
ETA - Whoops, one more! Here's another one I haven't reviewed, but that I remember enjoying: Sea Change by Darlene Marshall.
I found this out while I was looking through my All Romance Ebooks wishlist. The Governess Affair is also free, but, unlike that one, A Kiss for Midwinter appears to only be free at ARe.
If you haven't shopped at ARe before, this is a rebate, which means you pay the full price listed, but you'll get E-book Bucks you can spend on future purchases.
I need to remember to do some book shopping tonight and see if there's anything I want or would be willing to take a chance on, but I think my wishlist is actually pretty small at the moment.
