Free! - Sea Change by Darlene Marshall
Sea Change - Darlene Marshall

Until the end of today only! I never got around to reviewing it, but I remember really liking it, and it's certainly worth downloading for free. Historical romance with a privateer hero and a cross-dressing apprentice physician heroine.

All Romance Ebooks - 50% Rebate Sale for Valentine's Day

Some authors I'd recommend:

Courtney Milan (m/f historical romance) - So far, I've only read her novella Unlocked, but I really liked it. (Unlocked is the only work mentioned in this list that I haven't reviewed.)

Jane Fletcher (f/f SFF romance) - Her Celaeno series has some serious flaws in its world-building, but I love it anyway. Rangers at Roadsend is a good place to start.

Jordan Castillo Price (m/m romance) - I really enjoyed Hemovore (standalone novel set in a world where vampirism is a highly contagious disease) and Among the Living (main character can see ghosts).

Tamara Allen (m/m historical romance) - I enjoyed her book The Only Gold.

Rose Lerner (m/f historical romance) - I enjoyed her book A Lily Among Thorns.

ETA - Whoops, one more! Here's another one I haven't reviewed, but that I remember enjoying: Sea Change by Darlene Marshall.

Blackthorne
Blackthorne (Heart of Fame Book 8) - Lexxie Couper

I liked this. It was nice to take a break from all the YA I've been reading lately and go for something a bit more adult.

From the start it was sexy and fun. Josh came across as being fun and quite down to Earth after the first meeting. Caitlin was quite cool too, she tried to do what was right.

One thing I wasn't so fond of was the sex. It was erotica and that isn't my favourite genre. I preferred the bits between the sex scenes as most of the relationship occurred before the sex took place.

I also feel like the book should have had an epilogue as it seemed rather abrupt how it ended.

If all the authors works are like this then I wouldn't mind reading more of her work.
