I, Bathory, Queen of Blood
I, Bathory, Queen of Blood - Carole Gill... I, Bathory, Queen of Blood - Carole Gill,Natalie G. Owens In I, Bathory, Queen of Blood we have the pleasure of meeting and reading the memoirs of Erzsebet Bathory known as The Blood Countess as told in her own words. At a very young age Erzsebet is married to Ferenc Nádasdy who takes her name after they are married as her name is more well-known and higher up than his. They have three girls and two boys before he passes away around the age of forty three.

Erzsebet has an addiction one of which she does try to control but that is one battle that she just can’t seem to get a handle on. You see Erzsebet has a very dark side to her where she likes torturing and killing people while having sex with them at the same time. She also likes taking baths in their blood she believes that it makes her skin look smoother and younger.

When she is finally caught she is locked up behind four walls for her heinous crimes and left there to live out the remaining days of her life. Right before she expires she is rescued by her creator Anton. After he turns her into a vampire Erzsebet continues on with her addiction. At first she tries to keep it secret from Anton but that seems to be impossible.

Anton wants to help Damita (What Anton calls Erzsebet) to gain control over her addiction and he does help her for a while but then it starts all up again. Anton loves Damita so much that he can’t refuse her anything so after the bodies start to pile up he decides to help her get rid of them. He has now become and enabler.

I, Bathory, Queen of Blood is not the first book my Carole Gill that I have read and I hope it won’t be the last. When Carole first contacted me about reading one of her books she told me they were very dark in case I wasn’t up for reading something of that nature well I don’t remember her exact words but I guess that one word will do. I was like ok I love dark, bloody and gory stuff the gorier and bloodier it is the more I like it and you know what Carole did not shock me in the least I loved every minute of it. Actually I could have dealt with it if it had been even bloodier and gorier.

Now I’m not a bad person I wouldn’t even hurt a fly well unless he got in my way or messed with my food that is then I might. The point being how could anyone that couldn’t hurt a fly like something of this nature? Well you know what I can’t answer that but one thing I do know and that is that it is ok it is not a problem. But I was born in the horror month maybe that is what it is. Ok, ok enough about me now let me say if you like things of this nature; like a lot of blood, torture, lots of sex and killing then I, Bathory, Queen of Blood is the book for you. Justine: Into The Blood
Justine: Into The Blood - Carole Gill Justine: Into The Blood - Carole Gill Justine loses both of her parents at a young age. She loses her mother at the age of ten and her father four years later. She was taken in by a family friend where she learned how to sew. After many years her work as a seamstress is discovered by the Queen who then takes her in and gives her a job as a seamstress. Justine loves living at the palace with the Queen until she is attacked and runs away because she is afraid.

This night starts a long journey for Justine one she is not sure she wants to travel but has no choice. One dark night of her journey Justine is attacked again but this time she is attacked by rogue vampires but along comes Gascoyne her one and only true savior. He brings her back from the dead to live a new life a life of eternity. She is now a vampire but she is different than the vampire that attacked her she is like the vampire that saved her.

When she is first turned Justine is very upset about it and his mad at her creator and hates who she has become. She hates the dark person that she is now. But she soon learns on her journey with all of the things that she has to endure and all of the things that she sees that all creatures' humans and vampires are all alike. She learns that there are good vampires and humans but there are also bad humans and vampires. She learns that some have hearts and some don't. She learns that it doesn't matter if you are a human or a vampire that you can love and just because she has been turned into a vampire doesn't mean that she can't feel love in heart and she can care about someone human or vampire.

I have had the privilege of reading Carole's novels The Blackstone Vampires and was very happy when she asks me if I wanted to read Justine: Into the Blood. I love reading about vampires and have loved reading Carole's books. Carole knows how to pull you into her novels and make you feel as if you are one of the characters yourself. You feel as if you are standing off to one side watching and listening to everything that is going on. I love dark, gothic and horrific stories. The bloodier and gross they are the more I love it. If you like these things as well then you are going to love Justine: Into the Blood plus you will also love The Blackstone Vampires as well.

Circus of Horrors
Circus of Horrors - Carole Gill

I honestly don't know how to review this.

It started out okay, but somewhere along the way something changed for me, and I can't quite put my finger on when or exactly what changed. It became less about reading to find out what happened next, and more about, "WTF am I reading here?"

It just got really bizarre, and not in a good way. By the end, it seemed that things were being thrown in just to be as shocking as possible.

And on that note, I should mention that if you have a trigger, there's a pretty good chance that it is featured in this book.

So we're gonna start right off with the cannibalism are we? This book isn't playing around.

I don't really have any triggers, but I do have things that squick me, and this is one of them.
