The romance is full of vivid electrical chemistry that readers can practically feel flowing off the pages and the fast pace of thrilling suspense as Sorin’s enemies introduce Athena to truth about Sorin’s world while trying to kill him which adds exhilarating excitement to the story. Although the story is short, the world and this romance is quite suspenseful and fascinating ensuring that readers can really sink their teeth into this delightful vampire read involving vampire brides and hunters.
Kelly Elliott makes her mark. She seduces with subtle sweetness. She speaks to the heart in a profound way. Desired is an introduction and a reunion of sorts. A chance to test the waters while reacquainting yourself with old friends. These characters are meant to be adored and unable to forget.
Despised and Desired by Bree Wolf is an outstanding historical romance. Ms. Wolf has delivered a well-written, smooth read. This is my first book by Bree Wolf and what a fabulous surprise. Ellie and Frederick's story is packed with drama, action, bits of humor and spice along with an amazing cast of characters. Kudos to Ms. Wolf for bringing these tremendous characters to life. I enjoyed reading Despised and Desired and look forward to reading more from Bree Wolf in the future. Despised and Desired: The Marquess' Passionate Wife is book 3 of the Love's Second Chance Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
This was a fun series that had a little bit of everything you expect in a PNR. A little less of Mia's woe-is-me fretting and more about the witches would have been nice, but it was still a good time.
