Shhh! Don't Wake the Royal Baby - Martha Mumford,Aga Grey

The Royal Family has a new addition, a little baby boy. Sadly this little baby boy can't sleep, or at least, not long enough.

It was a really adorable book, I loved the baby and how the poor thing just wanted to sleep but couldn't because of all the noises in the palace. All the characters are easily recognizable, from the Duchess and Duke to the Queen, and Prince (not King) Charles). Especially loved how the Queen looked so normal, and happy. Really liked how she likes jumping out of plans with a parachute (nice hint to a certain Olympics where it seemed she was jumping out of a helicopter?).

The illustrations were really colourful and nice, adding lots of little details.

The ideas to get the kid to sleep were hilarious at most times, and simple at best. The last page was really a nice closer, the whole Royal Family is now asleep.

Bonuspoints for adding super adorable corgis. I had fun seeking out those and laughing at how silly they looked at times.

A really cute book, and I would recommend it to everyone. :)

The Duke and His Duchess (Windham, #0.6)... The Duke and His Duchess (Windham, #0.6) - Grace Burrowes 2.5 starsI wish this book was a full novel instead of a novella. I thought, some of the important events were really rushed while other unimportant events were dragged.

The Duchess Of Duke Street: The Way Up - Mollie Hardwick On to Misfit---What is the most essential tool in the kitchen? The chef's nose. It's been 30 years since I first read this and I feel that it is nowhere near as deep, involved or spectacular as I remembered it as being 'back then'. Still, a nice late spring weekend read but there will always be a huge gap between a teenager's perception and that of a mature adult.
