A Story that I Ended up Liking
Apologize, Apologize! - Elizabeth Kelly,Jeff Woodman

Hello everyone and how are you?! I hope all is well and you are having an awesome time. I'm doing pretty good at my end, not much to complain about. Well, enough of the small talk lol! And, onto this post that is a book review YAY!!! The book is called "Apologize, Apologize" by Elizabeth Kelly. This novel was her very first and now I will tell you all about it...kind of!

The story is about a guy name Collie Flanagan (yes, his name is from a dog breed). This is from his prospective on how he grew up on Martha's Vineyard with his crazy Irish-Catholic family. A dad(who's name I forgot) who is drunk it seems like 24/7, a mom (who's name I also forgot) that really doesn't care about Collie and hates her father (she thinks he murdered someone!), a playboy of a younger brother name Bingo, a pigeon-racing uncle name Tom (who is the older brother to the dad and pretty funny), and lastly a very rich grandfather name Perry who is the prime income holder for the whole family (which they do not live with him and this is the father to Collie's mother). So, he shares his story growing up.

Okay, so this book had turn out to be better than what I expected. I mean, I went from disliking this book to really finding myself grown attached to this crazy ass (pardon) family. There where moments in this book where I really wanted to deck the mom (more so then ever!) and of course smack Collie for just being constantly down in the dumps. There is a few heartbreaking moments, that had me really needing to close the book and set it aside for the night. Moments that had you laughing a little, and also yelling at the book too. Yeah, I am a crazy reader. But, this book is a totally worth the read if you are up to it. I mean I got this at a used bookstore thinking it was going to be hilarious. Yes, it was hilarious and it was also full of all other emotions. I have to hand it to the author for it being her first novel at the time. It was well written in my opinion, but it is up to you all to figure out rather or not you will enjoy it.

HOLY BOOK BATMAN! I'm done for today!!! I will be back on Monday with a brand new post. Until then, have a kick ass weekend!

LATER DAY!!!

Book Review: Bite Me (Lupo Legacy Episode #1) By Elizabeth Kelly
Bite Me: Lupo Legacy - Elizabeth Kelly

This was a cute and quick read because it's a serial. In other words, a series of very short "novels" releasing usually within a span of 2-3 weeks apart to complete a full story arc. This is the first time I finally picked up a serial in my reading history and I can't say I hate it.

The story started off very cute, but I did have a few issues with it. For instance the event at the pool with Ty. Why was everyone so laid back about it? Does everyone know something the reader and the main heroine (Emery) doesn't know? It really felt like I was only beginning to scrape the surface of a mystery.

Ash was nice, right up to the point when he started making no effort to spend time with Emery anymore even though they were BFF's for maybe 13 years. It just made no sense to me. You may ask why this drama happened and I can safely answer you for once: A GIRL. I was really disappointed in him and in their so called friendship.

Overall, it was an interesting story even though I found the ending unnecessary. I will be continuing on in this serial. I hope the "villain" isn't as obvious as it's seeming right now. I want to be proven wrong for once! Also Teegan was an awesome character.

My Favorite Quote:

"So you want to tell me what's going on with you and hank o' love from across the street?"

Killian (The Avalon Series Book 1) - Elizabeth Kelly

Killian seduces the reader with intriguing characters, excellent world building, and compelling romance. A fantastic beginning to this new NA Paranormal Romance series.

I can't wait for more!

Killian (The Avalon Series Book 1) by Elizabeth Kelly
Killian (The Avalon Series Book 1) - Elizabeth Kelly

Prince Killian of Avalon, needs to flee his fairy kingdom after it is attacked, and his family is murdered. He seeks refuge in the human realm and can only return once he finds his true mate.

Killian is a wonderful and imaginative story. It is fast-paced and impeccably written. It is full of mystery, romance, drama, and fantasy.

Killian is a worthy leader and hero. My heart went out to him for all he suffered and lost. He would make an excellent King. He is kind, yet a warrior.

Reagan Lunsa is a fun character. She is an art student who makes jewelry for a living. She has had a difficult life but doesn’t let that get he down. She has some trust issues, but that is to be expected.

I enjoyed Claudia’s character and her connection to Kilian and Regan. She was a good friend to both, yet mysterious.

I liked the similarities between Killian and Reagan: Claudia and her gift to both; the poem they both knew; the story of the fairy prince and the moon goddess.

Killian ends in a cliff hanger, and I really want to know what happens next. I have a feeling it is going to be good.
