Review: Lost and Found by K.F. Breene
Lost and Found (Growing Pains #1) - K.F. Breene

While I did enjoy reading this book - more than I thought I would, to be quite honest, as I got it as a Freebie of kindle - there is just one, "small" issue that stops me from giving it higher ratings... or picking up book 2.

As I said before, I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I've always enjoyed the battered woman angle (okay, that sounds bad. I swear I'm not some creep - I just really like to watch the journey of growth that comes with dealing with such a major thing) and I liked it here, too. Krista is doing real well, actually, and I liked her overachieving personality and her relationship with her roommate.

I can't quite make out Sean. He does a lot of silly things in regards to his feelings, driving Krista farther away. He also seems to feel like he needs and maybe even owes the company--or someone-- to pretty much whore himself out to seal deals. I get the feeling there is more to do with that than I realize, but then I will never find out, because I will not continue with this series.

Which leads me to why

To put simply... nothing happenedThe whole book "toys" with the idea of these two people together, and their growing attraction, and what it might mean for them, but ends right where it started. That is to say - before anything started, and on a note that says nothing will start for a while. And apparently, we might expect a similar attitude from the next book in the series.

If it did end somewhere meaningful, I would have read the next book in the series for sure, because I did enjoy this book. However, they way it did end did not encourage me to read the next one in the slightest. In fact, I kind of felt like I've been cheated, robbed from any form of satisfaction by that ending.
Needless to say; me no likey that!
