great story and characters
Twice Bitten (Cascadia Wolves series, Book 7) - Lauren Dane

Michelle was a cop but also a witch but her co-workers nor her boss knew that.  One night her best friend Allie who she had known since third grade. Allie’s mother Kathy called and Michelle to tell her Allie was missing. Allie’s apartment had been broken into and there was Mage energy in the apartment  as Kathy was also a witch. The witch in Clan Owen had taught the witches Michelle knew some defensive magiiks against the mages who had been attacking witches across the country. Michelle had to think and like a cop, she had to push aside the fear and worry for her best friends and focus on the facts.  Worry wouldn't find Allie , skill would. Some witches from Clan Owen had offered a class on how to read different magikal energies and Michelle had jumped at the chance to learn. Allie had been terrified whatever the magik had done. Allie had been missing at least four hours.  Wiches hadn’t come out to humans yet like some other supernaturals had. Clan Owen was so overwhelmed with their own disappearances that they sent Michelle to the Others who happen to be werewolves who would be able to to track Allie’s scent much better than a witch. Then Michelle went to the werewolves headquarters and heard a voice from her past . It was Josh who had been her first love and broke her heart. Josh took Michelle back to his office and michelle told him why she was there and he said that this was very dangerous but of course he would help. Then he proceeded to tell Michelle why he had never returned to her so long ago, he had been bitten and the alpha of the wolf who had bitten Josh came to help him assimilate to a whole new life. It had taken Josh a year to handle his wolf. Josh had to leave everything and everyone behind. It had been twelve years since Michelle had seen Josh. Josh told Michelle he was the Enforcer there. Josh also said the Mages were a way bigger problem then she knew and Michelle said she wasn’t going back and Josh commented she could always read his mind. Josh had loved Josh deeply when he was a laid back football player and she was a cheerleader. But that person was gone here was a man. Josh told Michelle he could smell her arousal. But Michelle told Josh she had control of her parts. Josh Josh then told her Mages had been working with turned witches in an increasingly organized fashion and witches were being taken and found dead totally drained a couple days later and now they were also taking weres.  They also believe the Mages are working with human anti hate groups. Michelle wanted Josh and knew she wanted him but Michelle had to find Allie before anything else could happen or be explored. Josh tells Michelle she is his mate but he wished he had longer to get her used to the idea and give her time for everything to sink in.

This was a great story as usual for Lauren Dane. I just love her paranormal books and have never read one I didn’t absolutely love and this one was no different. I love how Michelle came to understand why Josh never came back when she was sixteen even if it broke her heart. I also loved how Michelle decided to leave her old life behind and have a whole new life and world. I loved Josh and Michelle together, they so worked. I liked how the witches went to the weres for help and the weres did all they could. I loved the plot and pace of this story. Nothing I could find wrong with this story. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend.

'Bonded Pair' by Lauren Dane is book Five in the "Cascadia Wolves" series. This is the story of Megan Warden and Shane Rosario. This book is a re-release of the book "Fated" with a new cover. In addition it is a quick read with about around 120 pages.

Pack Enforcer by Lauren Dane $1,99
Pack Enforcer - Lauren Dane

This wolf mates for life…

Nina Reyes knows trouble when she sees it, and Lex Warden, Enforcer for the local werewolf pack, is nothing but. When her brother gets in too deep with some dangerous wolves and comes to Nina for help—dragging super alpha protector Lex into her life—she can handle it. She might have put her grifter past behind her, but she's still got what it takes. If only she didn't find Lex—his body, his scent, even his domineering nature—so intoxicating.

As Enforcer, it's Lex's job to protect his people. Nina might be more capable of handling herself than he initially thought, but that doesn't mean she's safe from their enemies. His need to protect her is more than just pack business—Nina, a human, is his mate. Bedding her once is not even close to enough; to satisfy his wolf, he needs a true bond.

The heat between them scares Nina, but sometimes the reward is worth the risk, and the thought of living without Lex terrifies her more than any threat the werewolf mafia can pose. Lex will do anything to keep her safe. And when the Rogues catch up to them, he'll get a chance to prove it…

Trinity - Lauren Dane

Renee is mated (or imprinted) to Galen. She literally bumps into Jack on her way home. Jack, a werewolf, realizes Renee is his mate. He finds out she is imprinted with Galen.
I thought this was decent. I liked the dialogue between the three and how they worked it out. I thought they communicated well and talked things out. Of course things moved at a fast pace. I would have liked more development with Galen and Jack's relationship.
What drove this done in rating, was there was just too much going on and not enough time to devote to anything. There's Renee not knowing anything about her heritage/not knowing anything about her powers, her mother's murder, her bitch of a stepmother and asshole father, a stalker who tries to kill her, secret family...woo, I'm out of breath! If the focus was on a few of these things and explored more, this would have been so much better. Not to mention there is a fricking CLIFFHANGER.
I probably won't be picking it up, since this one just had too much going on, and the next one is about someone else close to Renee (I will not say who as it is a bit spoilery).

Great Story and Characters
Bonded Pair (Cascadia Wolves) - Lauren Dane

Megan was being driven crazy by her mother. Layla her sister was married and bred as was her other sister Tracy but Megan was a single werewolf shifter. Megan was the Enforcer of the Cascadia werewolf pack. Megan told her sister Tracy her life was really good except for her non- mate status. Things had gone good in werewolf politics in the two  since Cade took over. National. No civil war, no drama. Megan was sure something would happen again it always would. But it had been some time since she’d had an actual vacation so it would be nice to to have leisure time. Megan had come with her family  to attend her cousin Sherry’s wedding. Megan was getting her grandmother -Lia- settled in her hotel. Lia wasn’t ready for her granddaughter to leave right then. Her grandmother was getting something witchy in her head. They all made light of Lia’s little pronouncements but she was always right. Then Lia  said big things for Megan she had a trial ahead and she didn’t know if the ending would be something Megan wanted or not. Lia told Megan it could  be her mate she didn’t know. Layla was Megan’s sister and Shane was her anchor in the tri-bond. Shane was  a doctor in Las Vegas and even though he was a werewolf he lived as a human, wasn’t part of a pack. Shane was raised to be suspicious of werewolves by his mother who had never made the change from human to werewolf. How hard it must have been to be raised by someone who hated what you were. Shane was doing fine in Las Vegas, he dated human woman and one day he would marry and then they would adopt children. He didn’t want to raise a child like he didn’t understand or want to accept. Shane saw Megan in a bar and didn’t realize who she was at first. But her elemental scent made his hormones set up and take notice. She smelled like honey and heady flowers. Megan felt Shane was off limits as he was Layla’s anchor. Funny how Megan had felt such a total connection to Shane. Shane also felt a ridiculous need to touch Megan. Then even though Shane lived outside he knew Megan was his mate.

Once again another great story that I loved. I loved this series!! Megan was a settled strong werewolf to mate with a werewolf who had turned his back on his wolf. What Shane’s parents had done to him especially his mother was just wrong and so sad. I was so glad he realized how empty his life really was before it was too late. I felt bad for all the pain Megan went through before things turned right. I loved the plot and how Megan’s family and friends stood by her. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend.
