My Only by Melanie Shawn is an outstanding contemporary romance.  Ms. Shawn has once again delivered a book that is well-written and packed with a phenomenal cast of characters.  Jamie is a single mom, a nurse and a part-time waitress.  Alex is a firefighter and an ex-Navy SEAL and favorite hottie of all the women in town.  Alex and Jamie's story is loaded with drama, humor, sexy bits and a few matchmakers.  I enjoyed this book from cover to cover and look forward to my next book by Melanie Shawn.  My Only is book 3 of the Crossroads Series but can be read as a standalone.  This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Protecting My Heart by Melanie Shawn is a laugh out loud contemporary romance.  Ms. Shawn has provided readers with a well-written book.  The characters are phenomenal and the dialog is outstanding.  Ella and Donovan got married during a drunken post-high school celebration in Vegas.  They shrugged it off thinking it didn't count since they used their fake ID cards.  It only took 15 years to learn they had used their real ID and were married.  Donovan and Ella's story is loaded with drama, humor and spice.  I enjoyed reading Protecting My Heart and look forward to reading more from Melanie Shawn soon.  Protecting My Heart is book 1 of the Valentine Bay Series but can be read as a standalone.  This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I enjoyed this romance with it's spunky characters. I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4.5* rating. Because of sexual content, this is not for the under 18 readers. This is also part of the "All I Want For Christmas"Bundle. It also weaves it story around a special needs child, and may tug at your heartstrings.
