Wild Justice - Kelley Armstrong

WILD JUSTICE brings to a conclusion Kelley Armstrong’s brilliant Nadia Stafford trilogy. When a hit goes tragically wrong, Nadia is left adrift and unsure of her future. Wanting to help her, Jack presents her with a case that might very well provide Nadia with the closure she is looking for…

Kelley Armstrong is without a doubt one of my favourite authors. I found her first through her adult paranormal romance/urban fantasy series, and have since devoured everything I can get my hands on by her. If, like me, you are a fan of hers then you might want to consider checking this series out. There might not be werewolves or necromancers, but following Nadia and her job as a gun for hire will definitely keep you turning the pages.

At first, WILD JUSTICE presents itself as a typical book within the Nadia Stafford trilogy, but once the hit goes terribly wrong and Nadia is presented with the case by Jack things start to get interesting. The case is linked to a particular event in Nadia’s past that has played a huge part in her life – and the books. The plot of the book slowly unravels, and as you turn the pages the more you want to know what is going to happen next.

Nadia Stafford is an interesting character, and her story is both a compelling one and one that feels recognisable. She is a character who it is very easy to empathise with – you can see why she took the path she did. WILD JUSTICE provides a few revelations, and I enjoyed using the new insight to look back at past events. Jack is, as always, Jack: a gruff figure who provides support and guidance. WILD JUSTICE too provides insight into his character, and I really liked the fact that we finally get to know a little bit about his past.

WILD JUSTICE provides an adept conclusion to the Nadia Stafford trilogy. Armstrong provides a compelling story, and at the same time manages to wrap-up most of the plot threads of the trilogy into a solid conclusion. Although this series is meant to be a trilogy, I’m kind of hoping that there will be more stories set in this world.

Wild Justice (Nadia Stafford #3) by Kelley Armstrong
Wild Justice: A Nadia Stafford Novel - Kelley Armstrong

Lemme just say one thing first - Omg omg friggin finally and oh so sweet.

I absolutely loved the conclusion to the trilogy.

Loved the plot and her and Jack. That just made my day. I'm glad to see Quinn go. He was a pain, what he said just screamed condescending ass to me. But it was nice to see, so I wasn't wrong in thinking there's something wrong with him, nobody is that perfect.

I already suspected Nadia being raped by Drew. So no surprise there.

(spoiler show)

And Jack - he was just awesome. More talkative this book, so I got more of a feel for him and I liked what I saw. I think they're well suited to each other.

Made to Be Broken (Nadia Stafford #2) by Kelley Armstrong
Made to Be Broken (Nadia Stafford, Book 2) - Kelley Armstrong

I really enjoyed this book and the plot. I couldn't stop turning the pages.

It was nice seeing her interact with Quinn again and not too mention Jack.

I still don't like Evelyn and her games. I found the scenes with her the worst, because she's so manipulative. I very much liked the bathroom scene with Quinn.

I think Jack's lack of speech is both refreshing and annoying, maybe if he showed her how he really feels more, but he really don't show himself and combined with being non verbal, well then he just seem cold in terms of a romantic relationship with Nadia.

I'm looking forward to reading the last book.

Exit Strategy (Nadia Stafford #1) by Kelley Armstrong
Exit Strategy - Kelley Armstrong

Mmm Jack reminded me a lot of Gibbs from the tv show Ncis, with his silent almost non verbal communication. It would be nice to see a love connection between him and Nadia.

At first I was worried about POV, but its mostly Nadia and a few various characters.

After a few unfortunate series busts I was very happy to start this series. It more than lived up to my expectations and in the end I was very pleased.

I like Nadia as a character and her moral compass. The kill that got her tossed outta the force - Well I don't see that as a negative at all.

I'm not much a fan of Evelyn. I don't like bs or games. I think that's why I like Jack, although I certainly won't mind some more back story.

I loved the plot. And drawing Charles Manson into it was nice.
