Complications abound as alliances are made – and broken
East of West Volume 5: The Last Supper (East of West 5) - Nick Dragotta,Jonathan Hickman

Still difficult to follow the story completely but getting the general gist. This is quite involved but interesting nonetheless. Alliances are negotiated and formed and betrayed. It seems that there is nobody that can be trusted for long. Then all the Chosen are summoned – more in the next volume.

I find this series interesting and engaging but I’m sure that I have trouble following it – flashbacks don’t help!

Interesting yet confusing sequel
East of West Volume 4: Who Wants War? TP - Clayton Hickman,Nick Dragotta,Jonathan Hickman

Having read Volumes 1-3 a while ago, I’d forgotten a lot of it but Volume 4 recaps quite well. This political tale of the machinations between the global powers on a futuristic different Earth is quite involved and it is well worth while reading the first three volumes to get a grip on this collection. However the story is still confusing for me after such a long time.

The Endless Nation conquer the Texas Republic. Alliances are formed. The second part deals with the development of Babylon, influenced by Balloon and the prophet Orion.

This is an enjoyable read and nicely illustrated.

Would have been three stars without the Inhumans
FF, Vol. 4 - Nick Dragotta,Jonathan Hickman

But Inhumans.   Black Bolt.   So I liked it more than I liked last issue.   Overall, while this series isn't bad, it just meandered a bit too much for me.   Had it, at least, meandered brilliantly - like Transmet - I would have been awestruck and loved this.

It didn't.   It felt like it was killing time, and I felt bored a lot of the time.

Onto other, and hopefully better, comics.   Especially disappointing since I've liked at least some of Hickman's work in the past.

Just kinda creepy
FF, Vol. 4 - Nick Dragotta,Jonathan Hickman

And yes, I'm bouncing between books as each new issue loads on MU.   Focusing mostly on this, then moving onto some more FF series by different authors.   This volume has a little more Black Bolt, so that makes me happy at least!

So basically I was all like...
FF, Vol. 3 - Nick Dragotta,Jonathan Hickman,Juan Bobillo

Reed, Reed's father, Val is bad, ground Val, Spider-Man and the Human Torch are roomies.

Bored now.   I'll probably read the last volume because I'm a completist that way, but I'm glad there's only one more.
