Favorite Obsession (Royal Pride #3) by Nancy Corrigan
Favorite Obsession: A Multiple Shifter Paranormal Romance (Royal Pride Book 3) - Nancy Corrigan

Nancy Corrigan’s Favorite Obsession is a fast-paced and thrilling shapeshifter novel.  Human, Josh Conway, is determined to make royal cat shifter Mira Moore his.  All he needs to do is convince her, her family, and the Shifter Council to accept him.  This contemporary PNR takes place in West Virginia and is suitable for adult audiences.

Nancy Corrigan does a fantastic job with her character development.  I felt bad for everything that Mira went through.  What Edmund did to her was appalling. I like her twin, Devin.  He is honorable and cares deeply for her.  I love Josh. He went through some interesting changes throughout the story.  I like Josh’s sister, Zoe.  I am interested in finding out more about her and Kade.  Micah Krisban was a noteworthy antagonist.

The plot was unique and carefully thought out.  The lack of rights the female shifters have drove me crazy.  They are behind in women’s liberation.  The Shifter Council was quite meddlesome and added interesting conflict to the story.  A lot happened in Favorite Obsession that kept this story exciting and hard to put down.  This was the first story I have read in the Royal Pride Series.  I am now interested in reading the initial two stories and continuing to follow this series.

Her Lone Wolf by Paige Tyler
Her Lone Wolf (X-Ops Book 2) - Paige Tyler

First off, this did not pick up anything like I expected it to based on the ending of book one. But, don't disregard that ending - it's super important, just not quite yet it seems. Instead we get to see jerk-wad Clayne, the wolf shifter, be not such a jerk-wad. Now, don't expect to see his softer side - I really don't think he has one, but you will get to see him put in his place just a little by the woman he never stopped loving.

There are a ton of flashbacks in this story. Danica and Clayne have a history and the important parts are shared this way. There were a little too many for my taste - flashbacks pull me too far out of the story and I think they should be used more sparingly than they were in this book. But that was really the only downside to the story.

The chase is on for a serial killer shifter, and he is one crafty guy. He's highly intelligent and has managed to stay one step (or more) ahead of everyone for a very long time. Watching Clayne and Danica put the pieces together to figure out who he is and where he may turn up next was great. And of course it gave them plenty of time to find out the truth of their past and spend some "quality time" together. This bad guy will keep you on the edge of your seat - so be prepared. Every time I thought he was definitely caught - something happened and the whole game took off in a new direction.

We get to see Lily and Landon from the first book, too. And not just as quick cameo type roles, they are on their own chase as a result of the events in book one (you definitely want to read these in order) and even have a small part in helping out Clayne and Danica with a little issue they run in to.

While book two wasn't quite as good as the first book in my opinion. This is a series that I'm falling in love with!

Her Secret Agent by Paige Tyler
Her Secret Agent - Paige Tyler

I seriously love the concept behind these shifters. But I can't tell you exactly why they are different - it's fun figuring it out on your own. Cree is a shifter that has some very special skills, skills that John from the DCO (Department of Covert Operations) thinks will be nice to have. At least that's what they both say going into their first meeting.

They quickly find out that there are a whole lot of somethings running beneath the surface - including an incredible sexual attraction. But, Cree's shifter status and John's reasons for recruiting her may prevent them from figuring out if they could be anything more.

This is a very quick wham bam thank ya ma'am type of story. We have a couple really good fight scenes, a little bit of suspense (the story just wasn't long enough to really draw it out), and a really hot couple. I do wish that it had been longer - but I understand that it was a prequel to set the stage for the future books. Great start - I know I want more now!! And the last time I looked - this was a freebie on Amazon and B&N - so go give it a try!!!!

Stumbled upon this book.... WOW!!
Treasured Find: A Multiple Shifter Paranormal Romance (Royal Pride Book 1) - Nancy Corrigan

Having never read anything by Nancy Corrigan before, but recently picked up this book to add to my ever growing kindle collection, I decided to pick this up, something about the cover called to me. I started without having any idea what I was about to read, & quickly was sucked into the storyline unfolding in front of my eyes. 'Treasured Find' is book 1 in Nancy Corrigan's "Royal Pride" series, after finishing the book, which I loved. I devoured the book, couldn't put it down. I can honeslty say I have to read the rest of the "Royal Pride" series.

Croc's Return by Eve Langlais
Croc's Return (Bitten Point Book 1) - Eve Langlais

Bitten Point is a great place - a little swamp city with a unique group of citizens. A city with quite a range of shifter residents. Caleb is finally coming home, but he is scarred inside and out from his time in the military. He doesn't know what to expect when he shows up after skipping out on his hometown and everyone he knew.

I really loved Caleb - he was a very down to earth and believable character - considering he could turn into a crocodile and all. His inner turmoil and struggles really made me want to give him some serious snuggles. But his snuggles are reserved for Renny.

Renny has had a hard time since Caleb left, and she's a bit pissed off about it too. She has grown into a strong woman that won't take crap from anyone or anything. She had just enough spunk, while still holding on to her soft side at times. A great mix.

But creepy things lurk in the swamp, things that defy imagination and explanation. When they venture too close to the people Caleb cares for - well, his crocodile has been itching for some fresh meat. I can see an overall story arc forming that looks to be quite exciting.
