Back to school, for many college students means finding new roomates. You don't have to be college age to have housemates. There is a pretty neat movement toward co op living going on at the moment as people realize that sharing spaces and objects makes much more sense.

In Romanceland, living with a stranger has always made for great plots and sexy times.

Here is a list featuring  of Opposite Sex Flatmates who fall in in love!

The pressure is on at work as she vies for a big promotion. And she just caught her boyfriend in bed with another woman. She doesn’t need any more complications, but that’s exactly what Chloe gets when Patrick Murphy shows up on her doorstep.

Life is good for Patrick Murphy. He has an agent who can help kickstart his acting career. His relationship with his best friends has never been tighter. And he’s saved up enough money to finally move into the city. Now if he can just find a place to live…

There are many reasons why they shouldn’t be together: They’re both focusing on their careers, Chloe is coming out of a nasty breakup, and is it ever a good idea to date your roommate?

Mia Kelly thinks she has it all figured out. She’s an Ivy League graduate, a classically trained pianist, and the beloved daughter of a sensible mother and offbeat father. Yet Mia has been stalling since graduation, torn between putting her business degree to use and exploring music, her true love.

When her father unexpectedly dies, she decides to pick up the threads of his life while she figures out her own. Uprooting herself from Ann Arbor to New York City, Mia takes over her father’s café, a treasured neighborhood institution that plays host to undiscovered musicians and artists. She’s denied herself the thrilling and unpredictable life of a musician, but a chance encounter with Will, a sweet, gorgeous, and charming guitarist, offers her a glimpse of what could be. When Will becomes her friend and then her roommate, she does everything in her power to suppress her passions—for him, for music—but her father’s legacy slowly opens her heart to the possibility of something more.

For hunky EMT, Aiden Romero, Bryn may just be the distraction he has been looking for to get him through his last year of grad school. Can the two become roommates, solving both their problems, or will their encounter spell heartache for Bryn?

4. Be Mine by Judi Fennell

Megan’s always sold herself short, especially with her loser boyfriend. So when Loser doesn’t show up for Valentine’s Day, Matt does.
Sometimes the best things are right under your nose….

5. The Real Thing by Cassie Mae

Eric Matua has one friend—his best friend and childhood sweetheart, who needs a place to stay for the summer. Mia Johnson has thousands of friends—who live in her computer. Along with her email chats and Facebook notifications, Mia also devours romance novels, spending countless hours with fictional characters, dreaming of her own Romeo to sweep her off her feet. When she starts receiving supersweet messages from a stranger who thinks she’s someone else, Mia begins to believe that real love is possible outside her virtual world.

When the two friends become roommates, Mia finds herself falling harder than she ever thought she could. But Eric keeps his desires locked away, unsure of himself and his ability to give his best friend what she deserves in a boyfriend. As her advances are continually spurned, Mia splits her time between Eric and her computer. But she soon realizes she’s about to lose the only real thing she’s ever had.

6. Long Slow Burn by Isabel Sharpe

Kim Horton is turning the Big 3-0 and needs to get her life together. Hopefully, eDating will cut through the chaff and find her the reasonable man of her reasonable dreams. Because lately, she's been distracted by her sexy roommate…and that's just trouble!

Nathan Alexander has something of a reputation for beer, girls and late, late nights. The funny thing is, he's been into his roommate Kim for years. Now he'll have to get Kim's attention, and keep it—one hot, burning night at a time…

7. Bender (The Core Four Book 1) by Stacy Borel

All Keegan wanted was a roommate who was quiet, minded their own business, and paid for part of the rent. Instead, she got Camden Brooks.

Camden, with his sinful body, sharp tongue, and the inability to stay out of Keegan’s personal space, couldn’t seem to curb his interest in the new girl who wouldn’t put up with his domineering ways.

Feelings were running rampant, sexual tension was thick, and both were struggling to let go of control.

To some people, getting a roommate simply meant living with another person. But to both Camden and Keegan it was a curveball that neither was prepared to swing at.

8. Jake Undone  by Penelope Ward

Nina Kennedy was alive…but not living…until she met him.

Planes, trains, heights…you name it, Nina was afraid of it and led a sheltered life ruled by irrational fears and phobias. When she moves to Brooklyn for nursing school, that life is turned upside down, as she develops an intense but unwanted attraction to her gorgeous roommate, who’s pierced, tattooed and just happens to be the smartest person she’s ever met.

Behind Jake Green’s rough exterior and devilish smile, lies a heart of gold. He makes it his mission to change Nina’s outlook on life. When he agrees to tutor her, they forge a bet and the stakes are high as Jake forces Nina to face her demons. He just wasn’t expecting to fall hard for her in the process.

What Nina doesn’t realize is, that Jake has been living his own private hell. Once he drops a bombshell, will their love survive it?

9. Something Fierce by Jenika Snow

Tristan Holloway is in desperate need of a roommate. When Kash Alexander comes into her life, she doesn’t expect to have a roomie that towers over everyone else, is covered in tattoos and pierced, and has perpetual scuffed-up knuckles. But there is something dark and deadly that lurks below the surface that makes up Kash, and she is drawn to him. When she stumbles upon an underground cage fight, the last person she expects to see is Kash, especially within the cage. The way he fights, dirty and raw, should have Tristan running the other way, but instead she finds herself enthralled. As if that one night sets into motion everything else, Tristan finds herself involved with Kash in every way possible. The only problem? Kash isn’t interested in a relationship. With a battered past that haunts him, and a future that threatens Tristan’s life, the only way they can overcome it all is together. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

10. Lovin' Blue by Zuri Day

Thanks to a stroke of bad luck, Eden Anderson's childhood tormentor, Jansen McKnight, is now her temporary roommate. He's also a badass, gun-toting cop who relishes a steak dinner. As a peace-loving vegetarian, there's nothing Eden hates more than guns--and meat. And there's nothing she'd love more than to deflate Jansen's overblown ego. So when Jansen bets Eden that he can seduce her within two weeks, she can't wait for him to lose. But as Eden learns more about the man beyond the badge, their teasing turns tantalizing. Soon, Eden starts to believe that opposites may indeed attract, and she can't stop thinking about the man in blue. . .

Bender (The Core Four, #1)
I'm gonna keep this short & sweet. I did NOT care for this book. I feel like the entire story was rushed and un realistic with some of the characterization. The only reason it even got two stars was because it got SOMEWHAT better in the second half. Almost DNF several times but wanted to see outcome. Sorry guys but I am NOT jumping on this bandwagon!!!!

Bender (The Core Four)
Bender (The Core Four) - Stacy Borel 3.5 stars
A New Adult novel with nothing "new" to provide.

When I say it has nothing new, I mean the book is trite.

Keegan, 20 years old, in college. She had a hard life growing up with a single Mother. She had to grow up even more when said Mother got herself pregnant. Keegan almost takes care of her sister Sarah (adorable BTW) like a Mom. She is tired of this life, she want’s her Mom to step up, mature and be there for her sister, in a way she wasn’t for her. She finally decides, after a very funny conversation with her best friend Macie, to look for a roommate so she could live her life, on her own. She finds a roommate alright, a tall, handsome, broody roommate.

Camden lives alone. He is looking for a roommate…Why? I have no clue whatsoever because the author failed to explain why he wanted someone to live with him in the first place. To share some expenses, maybe. The later comes to mind because he is requesting a lot less rent than others. He owns/manages a gym (yep, the guy is like the epitome of fit), he is broody, controlling, bossy, possessive, overbearing but also, protective and sweet when he wants to. He comes from a good and stable family and has 3 brothers (all hot, of course).

Did I say the book is trite..? so far the same formula right?
Cam meets Keegan and the first thing she hears him say is “the chubby one”. Keegan has self-esteem issues, she feels overweight (she is a size 10, which is not overweight in my book). She keeps comparing herself to her “perfect” friend.. As always, the heroine has a crazy-whorish-bubbly-daring-caring-pretty-hot best friend who keeps daring her to do things, to go the extra mile, etc. As always our heroine thinks shit of herself and keeps doubting her decisions and actions throughout the book. Is this trite enough?

I liked the beginning of the book, it looked promising even if clichéd but, I just couldn’t warm up enough to Keegan; she was sweet but very immature and impulsive. Camden had to put up with a lot of shit from her and if I would have been him, I would have dumped her ass. I really hate a TSTL heroine, especially when such girl overreacts, jumps to conclusions without getting facts, etc… it was just too much.

I also couldn’t get the controlling/kinky side of Cam.. I mean don’t get me wrong, it was hot and all that but.. where did it come from? I just couldn’t put two and two together. OH and BAD POINTS on safe sex… condoms missing from the first encounter to the last… not a word spoken about birth control and STD’s….I understand this is not mandatory in a book, but having read so many lately I know it is a recurrent theme and, us readers expect authors to address the issue on the books since they are “contemporary” and the positive guidance and responsibility should be mentioned….. at least to be safe and please all of us.

I also didn’t get the whole Macie and Dodger thing… you’ll see if you read the book… I just cannot fathom a girl getting angry with a guy she is starting to date seriously when he refuses to f**k her right away.. IT IS CALLED RESPECT and waiting should not be an issue, on the contrary it should be something to cherish from a partner… so points deducted Macie….

The story was “good enough” that picked my interest and I finished with a smile… it has a sweet undercurrent and the brothers are just adorable. I will read the next one, definitely; I am intrigued with the rest of the brothers….
