No one fucked with him. Including most of the women. Oh, some brave souls sauntered up to him in their bikinis and clear heels. Their breasts high, their pelvises forward, strutting like they were on a runway. With a flick of his fingers, he sent them on their way. 

Now, he stared at her with the icy blue eyes. Did that color have a name? “I didn’t need your help.”
He cocked his head to the side and she noticed he had a touch of salt mixed in with his coal black hair at his temple. His brow lowered to two angry slashes over those eyes, he stated matter-of-factly, “You did. Accept it and move on.” His lips formed a grim slash that she suspected were full if he ever smiled. She couldn’t tell if his jaw was squared or sharp due to a full beard and mustache, but she wanted to know. 

Hand to the small of her back, he guided her through the throng. She had no idea where he led her and didn’t fight it. Out of the crowd was good enough for now. People cleared out of their way when they saw him coming. She didn’t like his familiarity, his hand on her body, heating her skin through the thin barrier of her shirt, or her body’s reaction to that heat. She certainly didn’t approve of the way he took over. For the moment, she kept that opinion to herself. 

He guided her out of the bazaar to a small compact car parked on a side road and opened the passenger door. “Get in,” he ordered, assuming she’d obey as he rounded the front of the car. Such a gentleman. Not that she cared. 

“I was taught to never take a ride from a stranger.” 

He leaned on the hood, arms splayed, knuckles pressed onto the metal, those cold eyes of his latched onto her. “Good lesson. Doesn’t apply today. Get in the car.” 

“Why?” 

An eyebrow shop up and his head cocked to the side. 

She got the sense no one questioned him. That this was a first for him. “You want to stay and deal with that guy when he wakes up, since you didn’t need my help?” 

“Don’t threaten me.” 

His brow arched. “You consider that a threat? Babe, when I threaten you, you’ll know it.” 

Babe? Hackles rose on the back of her neck. The last thing she needed was to be alone in a car with this man. The hotel shuttle coasted by them and stopped at the end of the street, a block away. 

“Thanks for the offer of the ride and getting my stuff back.” She slammed his car door closed and headed for the shuttle. Don’t know why, but she expected footsteps coming up behind her. There weren’t any. She made it to the open-air shuttle and parked her ass on the bench, along with the other hotel guests who visited the bazaar. 

Five minutes later, the shuttle pulled away and she bounced along with the rest of the people, aware of the car trailing them. 

Don’t turn around. Don’t turn around.

Eternity is the first book in her Ra series. I have never heard of this author until now. Even though this book was published almost a year ago, it became available on Netgalley, and I thought well the cover is yummy, and the blurb sounds enticing, so why not try it out? I am glad that I found a new author!! This story was so great and I had such a fun time with this fast paced paranormal romance that got my heart rate up...who needs cardio right? Well the story begins with Stella being attacked and left for dead, only for some reason she doesn't die like the "Stranglers" other victims did, and even though her face is scarred, she is alive and she meets Roman. Roman is desperate to keep Stella alive and will do anything to keep her safe. He doesn't know if he can survive losing her again. As they are forced together to keep Stella safe, a sensual desire erupts and soon they are starting to fall for each other. But then the plot really thickens and soon Roman and Stella are on the run for their lives and desperate to kill this creature after them. There is quite a lot that happens in this story, but the author does a great job in sucking you into a world of danger, paranormal creatures, and Egyptian mythology. This is a story that is exciting to the very end, and I just couldn't put it down. It had me on the edge of my seat all the way through, and I LOVED it!!

Overall I found Eternity to be a great start to this series that won me over within the first few pages. Precise details, intriguing characters, and a plot that thickens with every chapter and has you wrapped in foil and refuses to let go until the end. It will keep you enthralled with each page....THRILLING AND MESMERIZING!!!

I had trouble getting through this one. I prefer books that concentrate on a couple, that´s just my preference. This one just rubbed me the wrong way, don´t know why =/ multiple POV´s and the investigating female cop had a chauvinistic pig of a boss, and it all was too many clichés ..

The main plot with the H&h was great, it was the sidestories that didn´t work.

This story is packed full of all kinds of things that will keep your heart beating with passion, with fear, with anger, with excitement, and with love. The story starts fast and does not let go. It's a page turner. It all starts with fabulous suspense and mystery, there's a serial killer, Egyptian mythology, and it's all mixed up with real love and passion.

It was so much fun to watch Stella grow and discover her strength through this book. She gets a lot thrown at her and she's not perfect, she stumbles through her feelings in a real, refreshing way. Roman is not perfect either and that's part of why I love him. At one point he thinks: It galled to be lumped together with everyone else that hurt, left, and disappointed her. No, he's not perfect. He's lived through a whole lot of loss, and even though he puts her needs first, his choices add to her pain. The love story here is fascinating, at times it's raw and filled with pain and at others it's erotic and beautiful.

Tmonique does a beautiful job of rolling out the details of her story at just the right time. Just when you think she's pulled her last surprise, wait, there's more. Oh, and the side characters add all kinds of enjoyable color and depth. I will most definitely be reading the next book in this series.

I recommend Eternity to all paranormal romance readers and give it a 5.0
