Wicked and Wonderful
Wicked and Wonderful - Valerie King A Clean Regency Era Book,if you want a romance that has temptation, lust, mystery but no sex then you'll enjoy this book, it was a intriguing glimpse into this era.

Judith was a very interesting character, she had to leave her home at a tender age to escape a horrible fate and managed to make a life for herself that was suited to what she could do. She was both strong and vulnerable, generous and loyal.

Lord Kelthorne i had mixed emotions about him sometimes i want to shake him, slap, hug, kiss but i ended up loving him. He was a frustrating, enjoyable character, he was protective of his sisters but he didn't have the best reputation.

This was well written, had a lovely cast of characters some to love and some to hate and was fun to read a romance that didn't have sex scenes but built the romance on other things that made it intimate, also had some heart-pounding scenes in more then one way.

I recieved this book in exchange for a honest review

Under Her Thumb: Erotic Stories of Female Domination
Under Her Thumb: Erotic Stories of Female Domination - Midori,Rachel Kramer Bussel,Laura Antoniou,Lisabet Sarai,Colin,Teresa Noelle Roberts,Andrea Dale,Dominic Santi,D.L. King,Kathleen Bradean,Veronica Wilde,Giselle Renarde,Valerie Alexander,Evan Mora,Jacqueline Brocker,Leela Scott,Andrea Zanin,Aimee Nichols, The book Under Her Thumb will give fans of femdom a delightful treat, and for me it was a refreshing twist of kink.

I am a big fan of D.L. King so I decided to read this book for review despite my own sexual preferences. I thought maybe I would end up liking this despite myself. You see, I am not a big fan of femdom. It is not something that usually turns me on. I do love a well written story and this book delivered on many occasions.

The book Under Her Thumb is edited by D.L. King and includes a forward by Midori. It includes 21 stories by various authors. Contributing authors include: Andrea Zanin, Valerie Alexander, Teresa Noelle Roberts, Colin, D.L. King, Evan Mora, Giselle Renarde, Rachel Kramer Bussel, Kathleen Bradean, Aimee Nichols, Laura Antoniou, Anne Grip, Andrea Dale, Lisabet Sarai, Dominic Santi, Lawrence Westerman, Jaqueline Brocker, Leela Scott, David Wraith, T.R. Verten, and Veronica Wilde.

My favorite tales from book are ones that really stuck with me. I found myself thinking about the characters later, the situations they find themselves in and the exchanges they had. La Sexoricista by Valerie Alexander was one such tale about a man obsessed with his Dom. The Dom cuts him off and he will do anything to get over her. He hire's a pro and gets a big surprise.

Blame Spartacus by Laura Antoniou was another memorable tale. Sexy gladiators is what really turns this Dom on. "I wanted -I desperately wanted- two men, competing to please me: one to win, and the other to suffer." The way the author describes the scene makes me see the duel and cheer for the champion. Well written and very sexy.

The Dinner Part by Anne Grip was haunting. This story is about a man in the middle of a contract to his Dom. This story was written from his perspective and it just talks about the dinner party and how she uses him, and how he loves it. It also describes the longing and fear he has for his contract to be up.

There are many other stories I want to highlight for you, but I don't want to give up the whole book. I found the first half of the book was not as exciting as the second. The second half of the book makes this book was well worth getting. I loved it for the variety in the femdom kink and how the authors lay it out and describe why it works. I have never read stories like these, they are eye-opening and very hot!

Valentine Kittens (Zebra Regency Romance) - Jo Ann Ferguson,Valerie King,Cynthia Bailey Pratt A weak 3 stars overall.

First story, Belling the Kitten by Jo Ann Ferguson: 1 star. Did not like this one, especially its histrionic heroine. The story introduces her when her hysterical screaming disturbs the hero, who is also a guest at the inn. Even worse, the hysterical screaming is due to a kitten in her room who had scratched one of her gowns. I mean, really?? *smacks forehead* Trust me, it doesn't get much better after that.

Second story, A Tangle of Kittens by Valerie King: 3-3.5 stars. This was a cute story with likable main characters. I was initially a little wary of the plot line in general because both the hero and heroine were engaged to other people when first they met. However, in true Romancelandia form, of course the people to whom they are betrothed fell in love with each other. Oh oh, aaaaaand the hero's then-betrothed ALSO turned out to be the heroine's long-lost stolen-at-birth twin sister. Yup. YUP. Twins AND betrotheds. Kinda crazy, but still cute. The kittens in this story were very cute and helped to further the plot along, which I liked.

Third story, The Birthday Kitten by Cynthia Pratt: 4-4+ stars. This was the winner of the bunch for me. I reeeeally liked this story. This story focused on a newly-married couple who married for comfort and mutual respect. That all gets turned topsy turvy when the hero does something unheroic on the heroine's birthday, and, to repent, he finds a kitten to give to her for her birthday present. Take a mischievous kitten and a villainous suitor from the past, add in the hero's surprising discovery that he's feeling - what is this??? - jealousy, and you have an engaging and pretty well-rounded romance in the span of 80 or so pages. I knew this one was a winner when I was coming towards the end and bemoaning the fact that this book is traditional Regency - i.e., NO SEXYTIMES. *groan* However, there was a little teaser at the end that was REALLY cute: we get some of the kitten's POV, which is used to very cute suggestive effect. Kitty is in the bedroom, and hero and heroine had just set her on the bed. Kitty POV - They showed her the attention she deserved, scratching her ears, smoothing her fur, while they talked in low voices. She'd almost fallen asleep when they moved her once again to the floor. Offended, she stalked back to her basket while those strange sounds that had awakened her began again. Heeeeeeee! Cute, right? :)
