Why Did You Lie? - Yrsa Sigurdardóttir

things have been calm lately, at the lighthouse on top of Storidrangur, despite the tension between the survivors--but on the other hand, Vala and her family seem to be spiralling into a private family hell that is not of their own making. then again, if no one in this book ever did anything seriously wrong...then why oh why are they all being persecuted, starting with the Why did you lie? notes? it's all very creepy. should finish it up sometime today--hoping to be dazzled right to the end.

Why Did You Lie? - Yrsa Sigurdardóttir

okay, that's it for tonight; I'm a bit tired.

this book, if it continues strong and scary like it has been so far, has a good chance of being my favorite amongst the three I will have read by this author. the structure--three scenarios set in different parts of January 2014 in Iceland, but clearly somehow connected--is challenging, but unique.

this book is non-stop creepy. whatever the explanation is for all of these sinister goings-on, it's going to be disturbing.

Nina makes the tough call...and at the lighthouse, someone goes missing--which, since the lighthouse is at the top of a pillar of rock, doesn't allow too many theories about where they went.

this book is creeping me out. there are three separate plot-lines, involving three separate groups of people (separate, for now...), and they're all shiver-inducing to the nth. loving the whole thing.
