Being an Order Based Reader
So, this is not something special, or unique. It's not something that happens only to me, by a long shot. There is no surprising and shocking info here, in case you thought there might. Just a post I wanted to write.

CONFESSION: I AM AN ORDER-BASED READER.

What does that mean, exactly? It means that I, under no circumstances, diverge from the order of reading in book series, be it regular series or a series of stand-alones. I get anxious at the mare thought of reading out of order.
It's so bad that if I'm in a bookstore and I can't find the number someplace in the book(which happens more often than not), and in case where my phone doesn't work and therefore I can't check, I simply don't buy the book in fear it might not be the first/the next one. I might remember to search it when I get home and make a note, but chances are fifty-fifty on that one. So, publishers; make that clearer! lol

(And no, the salesperson can't help me; they have no idea about anything when it comes to books in English. Trust me, I've tried more than once... (Click the title for the full post)

Startling Realization: I Might Not Like Dystopians?!
Wither (Chemical Garden) - Lauren DeStefano
Warm Bodies: A Novel - Isaac Marion
Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky #1) - Veronica Rossi
Divergent - Veronica Roth
The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins
Gone - Michael Grant
The Maze Runner - James Dashner

"Not like" is actually pretty harsh, and not entirely accurate, but it's the closest I could get in the title (unless I wanted said title to be three sentences long, of course). I do enjoy dystopians, and I have read mostly good dystopians that were engrossing, well written, interesting, etc... But... well, to understand that but, read on.

Among the books I own, only about 5% are dystopians. Considering I own close to 220 books (at the moment, excluding books in Hebrew and mangas :>), you can understand that's quite an overwhelming ratio. Diving in deeper, I've read, from those 5%, maybe two or three books. The rest are still unread.
Among those unread there are some insanely popular titles, such as Under the Never Sky, Divergent, Gone and more.

I know, right? what the hell's wrong with me?...

I bought those books, naturally, because I planned to read them. I still do, now more then ever, thanks to my persona "Cleaning my Shelves" challenge. They are all books people never stop gushing about, all exclaimed as some of the best literary works of the decade.

And yet, here they sit, unread and untouched, passed over in favor of fantasy and contemporary titles who came long after them to sit on my shelves. That was my first clue, that Dystopians might not be 100% my thing.

Another hint was... (press title for more)
