REVIEW BY MERISSA - Matching Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant #3) by Deborah Garland
Matching Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant #3) - Deborah Garland

@deborah_garland, @TRRtweet, #Paranormal, #Romance, #Vamps & #Shifters, 4 out of 5 (very good)

MATCHING BLOODLINES is the third book in The Princeton Allegiant series, and trust me when I say this series just keeps on getting better and better! Although I would say you "could" read this as a standalone, the better question would be "why?"

At the end of the last book, Francisco (and us) found out that Sophia was alive and also got a location. The start of this book takes us to that location. Poor Francisco. That's all I'm saying. And what the hell is Loren thinking? He's got his mate so he should have some idea of what it is he's saying!!!

I am sincerely loving this world. It gets more amazing with every book. Francisco really shines in this, showing the reader just how caring (and possessive) a vampire can be about his mate. Charlotte has a hard choice to make. Well, hard for her, at any rate. The attraction between them is off the charts and I loved every moment of it. Sophia is playing a game and I really don't like her. Just saying!

If I could do half stars, this would definitely be a 4 1/2, but I can't so it's not. Do NOT let that put you off though. I sincerely recommend this book and the series, and I really can't wait to continue. But who is next? Is it Reese or Victor? Either way, I'm ready and waiting.

A fantastic story and highly recommended by me.

REVIEW BY MERISSA - Guarding Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant #2) by Deborah Garland
Guarding Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant #2) - Deborah Garland

@deborah_garland, #Paranormal, #Romance, 4 out of 5 (very good)

GUARDING BLOODLINES is the second book in The Princeton Allegiant series. We reunite with the characters we met in book one, and finally, learn more about the elusive Julianna. After 300 years of running from Loren, she is here to stay, no matter what that may bring.

I enjoyed this one much more than book one, although I enjoyed that one too. I think Ms Garland's writing has improved tremendously, and there is such an eye to detail, it improves the whole story. The world-building is excellent and character growth remains true to the individual.

The overall arc is still in place and more information is given throughout the book, leaving you wanting more. Personally, I can't wait to read book three, and four, and you get the idea.

Definitely recommended by me!

Bloodline Destinies (Bloodline #2) - Iuliana Foos

In the future, humans share the Earth with elusive vampires and GeMs – a new species of blood-drinkers who appeared after the flood. Theodor DeCroix is the vampire Prince of the Old Coven who finds himself torn between proving himself worthy of his bloodline and centuries-old beliefs about true love when he saves a Vivienne from the brink of death. After being rescued, Vivienne struggles to accept her new life and her attraction for the man who rescued her, especially since she fears his kind. Both must confront their own demons in order to save each other during a whirlwind of dreams and evil plots.

The second book in the Bloodlines Trilogy is an engaging romance that holds readers captive throughout this romance that has two very reluctant parties which keeps the relationship in question until the very end. The characters are bold, convincing and easily grab readers’ attentions from the very beginning and the emotional turmoil that flows from the pages grip the readers by their hearts ensuring that they want to know everything that happens.

The plot progresses at a steady rate that keeps the exciting and suspenseful events building the anticipation throughout the story which keeps readers on the glued to the pages with a white knuckled, wide eyed control. In keeping with the first book in this series, the author has spun another fascinating story that is full of major emotional turmoil and intense decision making that results in life altering changes while adding lots of heart pounding suspense. Unlike the previous story, this one jumps to the future and the author does a great job of describing the setting which makes it easy for readers to imagine it and become completely caught up in this fascinating and exciting vampire world.

REVIEW BY CHARLOTTE - Drawing Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant #1) by Deborah Garland
Drawing Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant #1) - Deborah Garland

Dr. Alexander Manning has drawn too much blood from his beautiful patient. Overwhelmed with thirst for her, he drinks it immediately. But when she catches him and passes out, he must report what happened to his allegiant’s Commander. Or…he can deal with her himself. When he breaks into her house and enters her bedroom to wipe the incident from her mind, he reads her thoughts first. She wants him as much as he wants her.

Elizabeth Lockspier discovers the man she’s so drawn to is a vampire and fears for her safety and the well-being of her daughter. When Alexander tracks her down and assures her she’s in no danger and then kisses her, making her feel like the world has slid off its axis, she has to make a choice. Turn him away. Play it safe. Deny how she feels. Or…take a risk where the reward is night after night of blinding ecstasy.

But Alex’s past catches up to him when the new Philadelphia Commander chooses Alex to be her mate. He must decide...go obediently into the arms of the woman who blackmailed him into years of sex. Or...fight back. With some magical powers he’s been keeping a secret or with a little science experiment a colleague is cooking up in a private research facility.

REVIEW BY MERISSA - Drawing Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant #1) by Deborah Garland
Drawing Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant #1) - Deborah Garland

Drawing Bloodlines is the first book in The Princeton Allegiant, and we meet with Alexander, a young vampire of only five hundred years old or so. He is the doctor who draws the blood from our main female, Elizabeth, which is okay until she catches him drinking it.

The attraction between Alexander and Elizabeth is off the charts from the start, but I actually wished it wasn't for part of the book! Now, don't get me wrong, steam isn't a bad thing at all, but for me, it actually took away from some of the parts of the story. It all became about how often these two made the naughty, rather than anything else like, for example, maybe Alex could have told Elizabeth more of his history... say the part with Christiana in it?! I actually preferred this book once Alex was told he had to mate with Christiana, and Loren appeared on the scene. I felt there was more of a connection then, but maybe that's just me.

On the whole, this was a very good read, with plenty to get your teeth into (bad pun intended). I would love to read more about this world of Allegiants, and see how it works in greater detail. And, of course, find out more about the missing vampires. Oh, and hope Elijah gets his story!

There were no editing or grammatical errors that I noticed, and I have no hesitation in recommending this book. Excellent start to the series.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *
