Review! Interplanetary Love by Shelley Munro!
Interplanetary Love - Shelley Munro

I know your secret…

Ekim Ramuk is a vid-star on the planet Nidni. Along with fame and currency comes his reputation as Nidni’s greatest lover—one that causes him acute embarrassment and anxiety because not one of the rumors is true.

Carly Abercombie is an Earth cop who works long hours and craves a man to hold her in the small hours of the night. She doesn’t require perfect. Mr. Almost Perfect will do, but finding him—that’s another problem entirely. In desperation, she signs up with Interplanetary Love and heads off to Nidni to meet her first date.

Rala Ramuk, Ekim’s baby sister, has problems of her own. Her brother! Determined to marry him off so she can move forward with her own life, according to Goddess Peti’s rules, she’s signed Ekim up with the Interplanetary Love dating agency. Anything to secure her future.

A vid-star, a cop and a matchmaker. Three strong personalities, all determined to win. Let the dice roll and the fun begin…

Warning: This book contains a tongue-in-cheek plot, a little purple-tinged prose and a man-part named Rajah. You have been warned.

This sci-fi romance is a chuckle worthy fun and charming romance that is full of delightful characters, cosmic passion and clever dialogue. The romance has a few obstacles, a couple of which are real doozies which has some emotional turmoil flowing from the pages and the reader can’t help but connect to the characters as they twist each other and readers up. Although on the short side, this smooth flowing plot is fast paced and entertaining as Rala keeps surprising readers with her machinations and the issues that go along with being a vid-star interfere in this romance. I was delighted with this story and couldn’t quit smiling and snickering all through to the conclusion.

USA Today bestselling author Shelley Munro lives in Auckland, the City of Sails, with her husband and a cheeky Jack Russell/mystery breed puppy.

Typical New Zealanders, Shelley and her husband left home for their big OE soon after they married (translation of New Zealand speak – big overseas experience). A twelve month long adventure lengthened to six years of roaming the world. Enduring memories include being almost sat on by a mountain gorilla in Rwanda, lazing on white sandy beaches in India, whale watching in Alaska, searching for leprechauns in Ireland, and dealing with ghosts in an English pub.

While travel is still a big attraction, these days Shelley is most likely found in front of her computer following another love – that of writing stories of romance and adventure. Other interests include watching rugby and rugby league (strictly for research purposes), and curling up with a good book.

Recent Release Review! Their Bride (The Marriage Lottery # 2.5) Stasia Black & A.S. Green!
Their Bride - A.S. Green,Stasia Black

All Vanessa ever wanted was to be loved.
Okay, strike that—all she wanted was not to die at the hands of the homicidal maniac who was obsessed with hunting her down—AND to be loved.
Was that too much to ask?

Going to Jacob’s Well and becoming a Lottery Bride sounded like it would make all Vanessa’s dreams come true.

For the first time in her life, she’d have a family. For the first time in her life, she’d have not just one person to love her, but FIVE.

And she’d be safe from the notorious female slave trader, Lorenzo Bernal.

There’s just one teeny, tiny problem.

When the lottery husbands are announced, it turns out none of them intentionally entered. And they want out of the bargain.

*Events of this novel occur at the same time as events in Book 2 in the series but Their Bride is a full-length, standalone novel in the series.

“Their Bride” is full of emotions, passion and excitement that keeps readers glued to the pages.

These strong, appealing characters capture the hearts of readers as each has vulnerabilities and issues that hinder their relationship which provides lots of emotional turmoil during all the sizzling chemistry and heated passions of this captivating romance. Vanessa is a strong courageous woman with a challenging past that has kept her on the run but she remains strong and strives to make her own dreams come true which readers can certainly relate to and all the men easily ensure that readers want to help them overcome their problems and reach for happiness. Each of the men are different with unique issues so this adds variety and ensures that readers are never bored throughout this romance.

The fast paced and smooth flowing plot is not full of blazing hot passion and steamy sex scenes but it is also full of excitement, danger and a few surprising twists involving each of the characters which keep readers glued to the pages. This story references some of the events that take place in “Theirs to Protect” and continues a bit further in the future than where it ended, so while the story is standalone and can be read before the second book, for readers to get the most enjoyment out of the books, the series should be read in order due to the overall events that take place throughout the series.

I found that reading “Their Bride" actually made “Theirs to Protect” even better because this one made things more complete having read both books and I really can’t wait to find out what happens next in the series.

Stasia was born in Georgia, grew up in Texas, recently spent a freezing five-year stint in Minnesota, and now is happily planted in sunny California, which she will never, ever leave.

She loves writing, reading, listening to podcasts, and has recently taken up biking after a twenty-year sabbatical (and has the bumps and bruises to prove it). She lives with her own personal cheerleader, aka, her handsome husband, and their teenage son. Wow. Typing that makes her feel old. And writing about herself in the third person makes her feel a little like a nutjob, but ahem! Where were we?

Stasia’s drawn to romantic stories that don’t take the easy way out. She wants to see beneath people’s veneer and poke into their dark places, their twisted motives, and their deepest desires. Basically, she wants to create characters that make readers alternately laugh, cry ugly tears, want to toss their kindles across the room, and then declare they have a new FBB (forever book boyfriend).

I live in the cold, upper Midwest with my husband and three kids. I spend summers on Lake Superior, which is the muse for my contemporary romance, Summer Girl, and I’m a sucker for down-to-earth men who work with their hands (if they play guitar, that’s an added bonus). I love all things Irish—particularly music, dancing, and Jameson. When I’m not writing or reading romance, I’m traveling, camping, visiting book clubs, blogging for Writer Unboxed, and writing paranormal and contemporary young adult novels (under my real name).

Release Week Review! The Science of Pleasure (Morphate #1.5) Jacquelyn Frank!
The Science of Pleasure - Jacquelyn Frank

In the Name of Science

Dr. Jenesis DeBruehl once hoped that her scientific research would have positive ramifications for humanity, only to have her work twisted by the evil Dr. Eric Paulson and used to torture innocents.

Seven years later she finally has her own lab again, despite her checkered past. Kincaid “Kin” Gregory is a Morphate, one of the people mutated by Paulson. Now running the lab that Jenesis is joining, Kin is surprised by the lust he feels for the human woman. While Jenesis struggles with her guilt over the role she played in Kincaid’s mutation, he encourages her to use him as her personal test subject. No limitations. With Kin’s body all hers, Jenesis is about to make a whole new kind of discovery . . .

In the name of paranormal readers everywhere…

The Science of Pleasure is a thrilling and fascinating read that brings life to a whole new world for readers to enjoy. Jenesis and Kin are two very strong characters with electrifying chemistry and that grab readers’ attention from the very beginning. The romance is full of tension and passion as these two fight their sizzling attraction and the relationship really doesn’t have great odds of working out due to the differences between them and the past. This fast paced story is full of intense and suspenseful events that keep readers glued to the pages as Jenesis and Kin try to work out their differences and take a dangerous gamble in a move against the evil Dr. Paulson.

Jax / Jacquelyn Frank has created a very intriguing world full of unique and fascinating characters that are similar to vampires but very different as well as having an overall sexy feel to the story. It takes place in a futuristic vision of our world which adds more spice to the story and adds to the believability of the characters and their overall existence. The only problem I had with this story, is that it was over too soon, but that’s okay, I will just have to read the next book – Dangerous as soon as I can.

New York Times bestselling author Jacquelyn Frank is currently living in North Carolina, and has been writing romantic fiction ever since she picked up her first teen romance at age 13. With four sisters and other family scattered up and down the Eastern Seaboard, and a history of living all across the USA herself, she still always finds ways to give a nod to her native New York in her work. A former Sign Language Interpreter and substitute teacher, she is a powerful advocate of reading and writing. She is known for her persistent gifts of books to her nieces and nephews, as well as all the other children in her life, in an effort to see them love both as much as she does. She believes there is nothing more rewarding than the imagination and all it inspires, and nothing more tragic than illiteracy.
